Ideal place for a short stay while visiting Alnwick. Our room was nice and on the top floor which was good as the pub was very busy; not surprising being Christmas. The room was clean very comfy bed, tea and coffee and a good sized bathroom. The breakfast was lovely a good range of options. Perfect location for the gardens/castle...

Popped in here a couple of weeks ago for Sunday lunch. The food was pretty average, considering the price of it. We had 2 beef roasts, which to our disappointment only came with a pretty mediocre size portion of veg!! The staff were extremely friendly. However, I did happen to notice one of the members of staff did have her...

Staff friendly, lovely area, rooms are okay but I believe this isn't the place for my wife and I. It's very average inside and the bar downstairs offers a great range of snacks and drinks which we did enjoy on some occasions

A good choice since opposite us TWO pubs were closed including the Joiners Free WiFi was very helpful. Had a Mordue Brewery Workie Ticket in what is described as a boutique bar !!! I.e. Farrow and Ball...

Stayed here for one night in room 4. We have stayed before so knew partly what to expect. Stay was OK - Mostly it was fine but there were a few points for improvement. Room Room 4 is tiny so do keep that in mind when you book. It is cheaper as a result, but really small. It also got...

Nice room, lovely staff and a great atmosphere watching rugby in the bar. They even went to the trouble of handing round free bowls of fantastic nachos and bacon butties. Breakfast wasn't great and the wifi is hit and miss but overall a very nice place to stay ideally placed in a lovely town.

Lovely bedroom, very comfy bed, nice bathroom with a good shower. However, no Wifi in bedroom, had to sit on the stairs to get a signal. But what a shame, no porridge on the first day. The second day, items where missing off the breakfast tables such a shame. No sugar, plus coffee was very weak.
