Just spent a wonderful weekend here with my friend (husbands left at home!). We had the Crecy room as a twin and it was a delight...it even had a private terrace with seating. There was everything that you could want, including sherry! It was immaculately clean, with David the host being most attentive and helpful. (He even organised and booked...

We were visiting Alnwick for our wedding location and had the pleasure of staying at this excellent B & B. We highly recommend Bows House, they could not have been more welcoming. The room was clean & lovely and they had great little touches that make all the difference. We will be recommending Bows House for our guests to stay...

Many thanks to Beverly and David for looking after us so well on our short, two day visit to Alnwick. The fresh fruit salad and hearty Northumbrian breakfast set us up for the day. We were also treated to delicious pastries, tots of sherry and refreshing cold beers! Our cosy room was really clean and comfy, we highly recommend Bow...

Writing this review is easy: I just reiterate what all the other reviewers have said. We stayed on a stop- over to a wedding in Edinburgh. When we told my sister in law we stayed in Alnwick she said "you should have told us, we know a great little B&B there'. Never before have we been offered complimentary beer nor...

A delightful welcome with coffee and cake set the tone for our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and they seem to have thought of every detail, even including ear plugs in the event the (gentle and soothing) clock chime from the church next door bothered our sleep. A wonderful array of 'Bari' teas in the room,...

Excellent 4 days spent in Alnwick, at Bow House. Very welcoming hosts lovely breakfasts and exceedingly comfortable room. Plenty to do in Alnwick lots and lots of places to eat and some really nice friendly pubs, John Bull and the Tanners being the best for drinks. Loads to do in the area, Holy Island is particularly good and a trip...

A great location in the middle of Alnwick, with a parking permit supplied on arrival. We were offered tea and cake on arriving but as we'd stopped at a National trust place we didn't sample it. The room was comfortable, with loose leaf teas from the local Bari tea room. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh fruit salad,...

Lovely house, spotless and comfortable rooms of a good size. Great beds and decent sized shower room with excellent shower. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming with good ideas for things to do. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. I would return and stay again but I must say about the church clock and bells, they do ring every quarter...

You are welcomed personally by the owner David who remains attentive throughout your stay. The rooms are beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated. The attention to detail is remarkable. The double bed was huge and comfortable. The breakfasts are comprehensive and feature local produce most excellently prepared. For other meals you go into town which is 150 metres away. We recommend...
