Eventually I got round to using an afternoon tea voucher and I expected maybe to only get half portions due to being on a 'special'. This was not the case and there was so much food we even got the cakes to take home. There was a great choice of sandwiches, a fruit scone with jam & cream each and...

Positives are that the staff are friendly and reception were very helpful and location is good. The breakfast is small but tasty and some of the rooms are in desperate need of modernisation. The first room we were offered was good from first impression but we quickly realised that the sound proofing was non existent hearing a plug being switched...

Stayed here for one night on a Groupon deal at the end of December on route to Edinburgh for Hogmanay celebrations. We had booked dinner, B&B and upgraded to a suite with a four poster and a bottle of wine for £110 which turned out to be excellent value for money. The facilities were to a high standard throughout the...

I understand that you might not want to give away your best rooms to you Groupon guests but isn't the whole point of Groupon to get people in and "wow!" them so they'll come back and spend a lot more money in your hotel next time? well I won't be returning so you've lost at least one customer. Our room...

We stayed for two nights as a drop in booking and were very happy with the price the room and the overall service. Everyone was very friendly and catered for all our needs including in the restaurant. The choice of food, the presentation and the service were excellent, and the food itself was on the whole well cooked. The dining...

We stayed for one night on a Groupon deal and what great value it was. Possibly the best deal we have had so far. Our room was a good size, clean and the bed comfortable. Plenty of hot water although the towels were a bit rough. Our evening meal in the Bistro was very nice and for what we paid...

We found the hotel was not the friendly place it ysed to be, perhaps wedding ect are more profitable. We never eate in the dinning room with no explanation when asked why. Prices are not in the budget range and the offer of a £5 per person was contested by the reception staff, they said we should of had a...
