What a place this is! If you despise staying in sterile white box with purple curtains (mentioning no names) you might just well enjoy a stay at Alnwick Lodge. This place is hilarious, quirky, messy, beautiful, strange, wonderful, awful and amazing, all at once :) Rooms; Our room was up a spiral staircase - not so bad when sober but...

Gentleman who accommodated me and my girlfriend was very nice and welcoming. He even gave us some champagne on arrival which was a nice touch. Room was very clean and comfortable. Building itself was gorgeous I just loved the whole experience. Thanks again guys

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Evelyn comes across as a nice reasonable person at first,i booked this B&B just before Xmas for the New year to visit family and friends, My wife and i live in Essex and are not familiar with the area, however needless to say we booked this place in good faith, However there was a little confusion...

Qwerky little hotel on southern outskirts of Alnwick. Ideal for touring the Northumberland coast or inland. Converted stable, all rooms decorated interestingly. Formerly an antiques and restoration centre, hotel is family run by lovely people. Great breakfast.

Easy to find this place from sat nav. Reception was very welcoming with a big stove heating the room. Room was compact but nice. The breakfast was nice. Not huge but tasted good. The only issue we had is that it is outside of the town. It's not viable to walk in form there so you'll be looking at a...

This b&b may not be to everyone's taste but we loved it, where else are you welcomed with a pot of tea and biscuits without it being added to your bill. It's not modern but it doesn't pretend to be, the grounds are oldie worldie along with the rooms, what else would you expect from 1700s restoration and conversion buildings,...

Very disappointed in this B&B, signage needs to be clearer as it is on the A1. Very messy outside to much junk on the drive. Its taught me to read reviews. If you like quirky then it may suit you. Not very happy with rooms if you have a dust allergy do not choose this place and breakfast was a...

Alnwick lodge is an unusual, though interesting stopping point. It will certainly suit some more than others and should certainly not be mistaken for a hotel (though to be fair it does not really claim to be anything but a B&B). The place has a very quirky feel to it with most parts feeling a little home-made (what is not...

One of the things I really look forward to when staying in a country B&B is the second B. We were there for two nights, the cooked breakfast on the first morning was good quality but very small portions. However the second day's breakfast was laughable, one had half a sausage and the other no bacon, with the plate swimming...

I normally stay at the Hog's Head Inn further into Alnwick when I visit there (which is also very nice), but on this occasion they were fully booked when I had to make a late booking. I can only say that I am very sad that I didn't find Alnwick Lodge before! I have noted what other people have said...
