We recently spent three nights at this nice hotel situated on the edge of the Queen Elizabeth II Country Park just outside Ashington. It is ideally situated for visiting the Northumberland coast and would be a good stop off to break up a long journey traveling north to Scotland. Before completing the booking online I called the hotel to secure...

Room was comfortable if a little warm breakfast, when we had it was adequate. Rooms were kept tidy and service was friendly and prompt.I can see me using this hotel again and would have no qualms about recommending it to anyone

been here before and have to say it is very nice experience. attached to bar and restraunt and overlooking a wildlife park with swans, migrating birds. and good for a healthy walk all round lake. walk through woods, or hop on the toy railway, which travels through woodland to the Mining Museum which is a must visit. Couple of miles...

we stayed in the hotel on the 8th & 9th of January and it was brilliant. The room (Room 5) was clean, tidy and spacious and the hotel staff cheerful and helpful. in fact we are booked to return on the 2nd & 3rd of March 2017 and would love to have room 5 again if possible.

Very impressed with the bed, black out curtains and noise free night. Nice range of food available for breakfast. Modern hotel and nice pub next door, sat in front of log fire all night, very cosy. Would definitely choose a premier in again.

Car park didn't seem to be tarmac-ed on access. Service at checking was good. Room was clean and functional. Brewers Fayre did the job for food. Would recommend this as a stopover on the way to Northumberland coast

Lovely situation being on the edge of a lake, rooms clean and modern, breakfast ample enough to keep you going all day! We stayed, in a family room, with 2 granddaughters and slept until almost 8am (must have been comfortable)

I pre-booked breakfast but on the actual morning couldn't face a cooked breakfast so took the 'continental style' option. This made my actual breakfast more expensive than need be. In future I will pay as I go as there is no incentive to pre-book as the cost is just the same regardless.
