Stayed over Easter, booked as not a lot else was available locally. Its a lovely hotel, warm, clean and welcoming, friendly helpful staff, lovely breakfast. Did read that reception closes at 10.30, but hadn't realised that meant they expected us in by then. I think a lot of visitors must go for the dining experience and so do not go far...

Lovely country house hotel! We stayed in the Rose Suite which is actually bigger than my apartment 😂😂. The food was deliciously cooked local cuisine. As mentioned in previous reviews it is out in the sticks so some sort of transport is required - 🚗 or 🚴. Beautifully kept gardens are home to a multitude of wild birds and, apparently,...

It is a bit cut off so you really need a car (there is an infrequent bus passes that goes to Berwick and Newcastle). Parking is out front and my car ended up covered in bird poo....so try and place your car where you are not under a tree (hard). The building is more like a small stately home, and...

Booked this place for 2 nights on spec. from the web and was intrigued from the outset. V friendly staff from check-in to departure. Overall decor and accommodation has this comfortable ambience (and there's no incessant background musak, like a lot of places these days). When it comes to the food, well, I take my proverbial hat off to the...

This hotel sounded perfect for our needs and it turned out even better than we had anticipated. The package of dinner, bed and breakfast was a very reasonable price, The rooms were comfortable, very large and well decorated. The dinner was delicious and I was very impressed that unlike many hotels which do similar deals we were not given a...

What a gem of a small country house hotel, particularly if you're fed up with the modern plastic business variety which are the same the world over. Downstairs reception, lounge and dining room have an old world charm, rather dimly lit with heavy comfortable furniture and walls covered with oil paintings. Our bedroom was well presented, warm (it was cold...

Stayed 3 nights on Dinner, Bed & Breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Hotel is packed with so much "stuff" that you saw something different all the time. We stayed in Swans room which was magnificent with a four poster bed, and the most storage of any hotel we have ever stayed in !!. Food was exceptional and with the...

We visited this hotel using one the offers available, which made the price very attractive. For me this was the perfect Hotel! Beautiful surroundings and garden, being very close to the sea. On arrival we were given an upgrade from a twin room to a suite which was modern, clean and very well appointed. The lounge areas are comfortable, warm,...
