My wife and I had to visit Berwick upon Tweed at short notice and we decided to stay in the TraveLodge. We weren't expecting much, but we were very pleasantly surprised - the staff were friendly and helpful (this includes not only reception, but the cleaning staff as well). …
We arrived at the hotel on 23rd December. The staff were ok but nothing special. The room did not offer any glasses/plastic ones to have a drink in. Not even any for your toothbrush. The room was basic but okay.
Clean & friendly hotel in a good out of town location. Easy to find. Taxi into town cost us about £5 each way. Room was clean but basic, but as expected. 2 nights for £64 was great value. Only downside was local lads on Morrisons reving car engines.
stayed here while we were going to kelso races nearby, the travelodge was clean well maintained and a very good location for travel in and around town, staff were very friendly, and there was plenty of parking available

"Hotel is accessible from the main road but a short taxi ride into Berwick centre."
"There is a first floor to some of the rooms - you're better off on the ground floor if you're disabled, elderly or just unfit."
"Try room 117 on the first floor it was adequate for me"
"first floor at front of hotel gives a lovely view of the sea"
