Me and my wife had a fantastic lunch today. Called in when passing and not left disappointed. We both had the goats cheese starter which was heaven. My wife had salmon and I had haddock for main. We both agreed the food was fresh, well presented, hot and more than enough on the plate. All served by a very nice...

A big thanks for your kind words John & happy to know you both enjoyed your lunch with us. Although it is a competitive market, we like to think we offer seasonal local produce at a fair & honest price, obviously not he cheapest but 'good value for money' & the old cliche 'you only get what you pay for'...

Located on a side street just off the main street in the historic centre of Berwick, this small hotel offers everything a weary traveller could ask for. Rooms are pretty spacious, the bed is comfortable, and the whole place has recently been updated. Breakfast was freshly cooked on demand with a wide choice with self service cereal. I stayed 1...

Many thanks for your kind words Baron. It is reassuring to know that you felt we catered for your needs without being intrusive. We recently refurbished our bedrooms & at present are doing all the bathrooms to a high specification mixing the contemporary but maintaining the old characteristics of a listed building. I am a firm believer that when a...

I have stayed a few times - an annual golf trip with Friends and have always found the hotel to be very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are good and much improved following a recent refurbishment. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the food is always of high quality. I'd never look to stay anywhere else when visiting Berwick.

Many thanks for your comments Martin & pleased to know you & your wife had an enjoyable stay with us. I can appreciate your comments with regards to the plumbing but for regulations in being a listed building there are restraints & unfortunately I have no say on this but I believe its only a minor problem. We are always...

My wife was attending a Christmas night out in Berwick and rather than driving home to Edinburgh afterwards we decided to find somewhere to stay. The Queenshead hotel is central and well priced location and easily suited our needs. I spent an evening in at the hotel and they have a flatscreen TV with a DVD which was ideal for...

Many thanks for your review Alex & certainly take your comments constructively. I hope you can appreciate it is difficult to curtail noise pollution from the restaurant downstairs especially in the festive season on a weekend but although we have installed noise reduction in the flooring some noise will travel. We will always endeavour to ensure dining guests finish at...
