A wonderful welcoming home. Spacious and comfortable room.. Tea tray on arrival. Fresh milk as required. Superb breakfast supplied by generous hosts Sally and Ian who show a genuine interest in their guests and provide any advice needed. Cannot fault it and look forward to returning in future.

We had stayed one night at Stonecroft 15 years ago and remembered the lemon drizzle cake! This time we didn't miss the shortbread - scrumptious. We stayed five nights and so enjoyed several great breakfasts - there is a wide choice. Sally is a great cook and doesn't do anything by halves - homemade granola, bread and marmalade are delicious.... More

An excellent B&B. Sally is the perfect hostess and every detail had been catered for. Located in an ideal quiet location with views to the sea in the distance. The room was large and comfortable. In fact, I am struggling to find some different words to describe how superb this place is without duplicating all the previous reviews. Spot-on with... More

The accommodation was extremely comfortable and spotless, the breakfasts were of a very high quality, and Sally was a charming host at all times, always ready to answer any questions and provide information. The hospitality tray was an added bonus, especially the shortcake made by Sally!. The surrounding environment was very quiet, and only a short walk from Craster. (Bus... More

We just can't praise this gem of a B&BB enough. Sally is lovely and so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The room was extremely comfortable and the hospitality tray is second to none. Including Sally's home made shortbread biscuits and mustn't forget to mention the lemon drizzle cake we had on arrival. However, the best is Sally's breakfasts.... More

What a gem we found here walking St. Oswald's Way. Sally greeted us like long lost friends and the cup of tea and lemon drizzle cake was to die for, we sat in the garden and enjoyed the sunshine after walking from Bamburgh. The rooms were lovely and comfortable with lots of extras including homemade shortbread, chocolate and fruit. Sally... More

We found Stonecroft five years ago and have been back each year since. We are always met by. Sally's warm northern hospitality and once inside there is always the home made lemon drizzle cake. We first came across Stonecroft by chance 12 years ago and have returned every year at least once. It is ideally situated, being a stone's throw from the dramatic and historic coast of this magnificently un-commercialised county. Sally has the incredible knack of making her guests feel instantly relaxed and cared for, whilst at the same time running the guesthouse... More
