I stayed at the Morpeth Lodge for two nights on a recent trip to the UK. I was on my way to Scotland by train from London and stopped to see a friend. This little bed and breakfast was definitely not one of your big chain hotels. I stayed in a single room with a tiny bed and a bathtub...

I booked this hotel looking for a weekend's peace and quiet and quite specifically stated this at the time of booking. When I arrived on Friday evening I was given a room overlooking the car park as opposed to the other side which overlooked the main road. I was quite happy with this although a lot of the hotel was...

This was a last minute booking for two nights, Phil the manager was very helpful and welcoming. The room we had wasn't one of the latest upgraded ones but OK. The place was quiet, clean, no disturbance and a good hearty breakfast from the self service hot and cold buffet. Would we stay again, yes is the answer. It's in...

I stayed here with my sports team for one night and the staff were really helpful and accommodating. They also managed to change a room for us last minute and we're very understanding of our need to get breakfast in early. Would definitely stay again!

Cracking place - ideal for the Town itself which is only a few mins walk away. Phil genuinely does care and you get a personal touch that is usually only found in small B&B's with a few rooms. Top marks

As I was on my way from Glasgow to the Midlands I fancied a change from the west side to the east side of the country. I found The Morpeth Lodge with my laterooms app and I Googled the number. After a quick call I had successfully booked a room so I set off from Glasgow to find it. 150...

Stayed overnight in this hotel and was very impressed. Quiet, comfortable and clean, very comfortable beds. Don't know the name of the member of staff on reception that night, 8 April but he cooks a very good breakfast. Buffet style with good choice of hot foods. Also cereals, breads, fruit juice, coffee etc. Would recommend this as a good place...

I had an early local meeting, so booked the Morpeth Lodge to make sure I arrived on time. I was greeted by Phil, who was really helpful. There were no spaces left in the car park but he directed me to where I could park, thanks! The property is currently being refurbished and I was staying in one of the...
