A fabulous welcome from Mike and Lyndis with lots of info. Great communication from booking to arrival. We were three (2 grandparents and granddaughter) in a motorhome meeting up with her great uncle and aunt in a yurt. So 5 in total. I was concerned that the motorhome would be standing on grass after lots of rain and might be hard to move / become stuck in mud. I was reassured that this would not be the case and it was not. The covered kitchen area is well-equipped with kettle and air fryer. We cannot comment on the air fryer as we had our own which we used. We also used our own toaster and nespresso coffee machine. We used the hot tub once although we really needed to have lit the boiler much earlier but we both have pools / hot tubs at home so just enjoyed the fun of lighting the fire and getting the water warm. The fire pit also was fun but it was raining the entire evening so we just toasted a few marshmallows and heated up some chocolate in a pan. The toilet / shower block is very modern and clean with plentiful hot water. Our granddaughter loved the swings and the games in the man cave! [For other motorhome owners - we were able to park next to our family in the yurt, empty the cassette loo in an appropriate disposal point but there was no apparent grey waste grate. ] Although we drove (mobility challenged adult in our group) there are some nice places to eat within a few minutes walking distance. Yash is amazing. We enjoyed our stay and would return but perhaps in a warm and rain-free month…… but this is the UK.

This place is amazing! Luxury yurts with everything you could need (even electric heaters which unfortunately came in handy in August)! The kitchen areas are so well appointed, clean, and contemporary. They have all crockery, cutlery, glassware, and oven, hob, and every pan you might need. The wood fired hot tubs are fabulous and Dukeries provide logs and firelighting equipment (extras at a small cost). The larger yurts have their own toilets and showers within their decking area. The large field is great for the kids to play on. I couldn't rate this place more highly and will be delighted to visit again.

We have just enjoyed 3 nights celebrating my 40th birthday in a superior yurt at Dukeries Retreat, and we had the best glamping experience we have ever had. The site is lovely, the owners are very friendly and welcoming, the pizza oven is great, the yurt is luxury and clean (super comfy bed!) and it's also dog friendly! In addition, The Chequers Inn food is fantastic and with the discount card you get 20% off your meal.
We will definately visit again.
Wood, kindling and firelighters are provided (great touch) but beware this is at a cost. We spent £25 to have the hot tub heated prior to our arrival and an extra £50 on the items to keep the hot tub usable all weekend, so perhaps would bring our own firewood next time to keep the cost down 🙂

Well what can I say but WOW!! When I found this site on the internet I was so impressed by the look of the tents etc and the reviews I had read that I booked a two night stay with my mum n sister as a treat for my mums birthday. We arranged an early check in n late check out before we arrived which I would reccomend so you can spend as much time as you can there. We arrived to the owners greeting us and talking us thru things, and even though I had seen pictures I was still amazed by the care and detail in each bell tent area. You want for nothing whilst your there, there is a bar area with a fridge and all cooking equipment including a portable stove, bbq and there is a microwave if needed in the communal kitchen oh and a freezer which came in handy for ice cubes as seen as we arrived on the hottest few days of the year! The bell tent itself was stunning, a kingside bed, sofa bed and camp beds (a stove fire which we obvs didn't use) The decking had it's own hot tub which was heated up by logs (we chose to keep it cool like a plunge pool in the scorching heat!) Also a table and chairs, aswell as a bench and a hammock! A parasol was also on the decking as we arrive (a new addition which was very welcomed) The site has a pizza oven which I would totally recommend using, we loved it! Each tent also has it's own bathroom just a short walk away. I'm in awe of the attention to detail to create this beautiful site and we will definitely be back again.

The attention to detail from bubbles in the fridge, to balloons in our yurt, to making sure our wood fired jacuzzi was just right, was second to none, just some of the few things that Samuel did to make our stay amazing. The yurts are impeccable, from the fluffiest duvets and pillows to the hot water bottles on the bed, the bathrooms and kitchen are all well equipped and Sam was on hand if we needed him. Highly recommend Dukeries Retreat to friends and family looking for a lovely glamping break away. We will be back!

We have just returned home from a very relaxing weekend at Dukeries. Upon arrival we were greeted by Mick who showed us all the facilities on our pitch and Lyndis who had brought us ice to chill our champagne which my husband had previously arranged as it was my birthday. Nothing was too much trouble. Knowing the occasion Mick & Lyndis had also left me some beautiful flowers and a card 😊
We had our own toilet and shower facilities that were exclusively for our use which were modern & immaculate. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful.
We walked to the local indian restaurant (Yash) for an evening meal which was lovely. Mick had brilliant knowledge on the local pubs/restaurants and gave his personal recommendations.
We look forward to returning and next time sharing the experience with our children as they would love the open space, the park and of course the hot tub!
Mick and Lyndis thankyou both so much for a perfect weekend.

I booked this in August, however, due to circumstances I had to move the date. I spoke to Mick on the phone and explained the situation and he was so helpful and understanding and the dates were moved straight away.
When we arrived Mick came to greet us and show us around the glancing pod and the facilities. He was so welcoming and gave us some fab recommendations for local pubs!!
The bell tent was AMAZING so much space and the bed was so comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed. The hot tub was lovely, even though me and my partner made it too hot😂 , and the outside kitchen space was amazing and such a lovely addition!
The toilet and shower block was just a short walk away and we had our room with a shower, toilet and sink, which, again, was spotless.
Despite the horrible rain it weather, it was the best break away ever had in a long time.
I honestly can’t fault this place one bit and we will definitely be back soon, thank you 😊

We simply had the BEST time at Dukeries Retreat this summer and this review has been written by someone who 'doesn't do camping of any sort!' The location is stunning and the views from the bell tent are beautiful and peaceful. We will certainly be going back next year!
The bell tents come equipped with large comfortable beds, mini heaters for when it gets chilly in the evenings and are decorated beautifully.
Each bell tent has its own wood fired hot tub, a fire pit, decking area and a little kitchen with the necessary equipment, a sink and a fridge! There is also a larger kitchen available on site and a small games room with reading books and other games available, as well as a pizza oven! You can also park next to or very close to your bell tent depending which number you are, which is really helpful. You also have your own numbered toilet and shower room - something that was a non-negotiable for me!
You can walk to the local restaurants, which is great and the Indian restaurant even deliver to the camp site. We ate in the Ye Old Bell, which was amazing, had Indian takeaway and then used our BBQ for the other nights. Dukeries Retreat have also negotiated discounts in the local pubs and restaurants, which is lovely.
The staff and family who run the site are incredibly helpful and regularly check in with you to see if everything is going ok or if you need anything at all.
We came as two couples and had a bell tent each. It is not something any of us had done before and we are really delighted that we had such a good time!
Total value for money!!!

We have just sent 3 nights here at The Dukeries retreat and what a treat it was!! The accommodation was exactly as described, spacious bell tent, outdoor bar area, wood fired hot tub (so easy to use) BBQ, use of pizza oven. Separate individual wet rooms with shower sink and toilet- not shared with any other guests, own key...fabulous! The place was quiet, with lots of things to do nearby and games on site for the kids. It was absolutely spotless and we couldn't recommend it more! The owner was very helpful and took time to make sure everything was OK. We will be returning.

Stayed at this totally unique site with our best friends in our caravans over bonfire night weekend. I can’t speak highly enough of the site, the 5 ⭐️ facilities and the entire experience. We met the owner Mick (unfortunately not his wife Lyndis) who was so accommodating and friendly, a perfect host. In summer the pitches are for glamping tents, in winter the pitches are for caravans but with full access to all the facilities which include your own personal locked bathroom with underfloor heating, shower, sink and toilet, all spotlessly clean. On the decking is your own wooden bar, log fired hot tub and seating. Available to purchase were logs, kindling and firelighters, Breakfast hampers, in fact anything you needed. The 6 glamping pitches are in a huge field and there are also 3 further caravan pitches, a pizza oven and seating area, All you can see is open space. A short walk away is an Indian restaurant that we would definitely recommend and then Ye Olde Bell Inn hotel/pub/spa where if you say you’re at Dukeries you get 15% off food and drinks. We came away feeling so relaxed. We’ve already booked our next trip and will be booking more. I almost want to keep quiet about this amazing place so that it won’t get so busy that I can’t get in! But that would be selfish! Try it and you’ll be hooked, we are!
