We were staying at sherwood forest and we went here for lunch, with our 5 month old son, its lovely bar area and welcoming, attentive staff, food was good, would definitely recommend I just wish we had taken some photos, definitely recommend for food and looks a nice place to stay

Stayed 3 nights. Booked room with two single beds but surprised upon entering room to find two rooms with a single bed in each, one of which lacked a window except for that in the en suite. Looking at the website it would appear that these rooms are part of a family room - the interconnected room next door having a double bed, presumably for parents. However all was very clean and a good choice at breakfast.

I was visiting the area on business and booked the Forest Lodge as it showed up on Google as the the closest Hotel to by meeting, working like this you sometimes drop lucky, and this time I hit the jackpot. What a wonderful find, really nice room, very friendly staff, great bar and a fantastic meal in the evening and a great breakfast. I will be back for a social visit next time and explore the local area.

We booked this place due to its close proximity to Go Ape and Center Parcs as we were visiting both, and we weren’t disappointed! We had a family room, which was spotless and well equipped, with really comfy beds. We ate in the bar and the food was fabulous, really great quality and we thought really reasonably priced. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, and just lovely with our 10 year old who had a great evening! Would certainly recommend and would definitely stay again if in the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

What a fabulous find. A very comfortable room with the largest bed I have ever seen. I had a great nights sleep. Supper in the bar was also really tasty, and the breakfast the next day freshly cooked and served in a glorious beamed hall. The staff could not have been more friendly also. We have family living nearby who cannot accommodate but I have now told all of our family members this is where we must stay when in the area!

Have just returned from a very pleasant two night stay at Forest Lodge. The general level of cleanliness was extremely high both in our room and common parts. Food was good and well presented. The only negative is traffic noise which does quieten down at night, would definitely recommend.
