Stayed for 2 night (room 4) on business, from start to finish the staff were polite, helpful and courteous. The room was superb (4 poster bed), the meals and the selection of ales wonderful. Would happily return with my better half for a stay rather than just for business.

We stayed here for one night for my friends wedding. Everything was perfect and the staff were so polite and helpful. Food was also amazing, we had both breakfast and dinner here. The room was perfect and had everything we needed. We would definitely come here again.

Great little night staying over here. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and everything went well. The only criticism would be the bed was a little on the small side but I didn't mind all that much as it was only one night. It's an 18th Century building so some spaces are going to make it hard to...

We can't fault The Forest Lodge Hotel. The staff are super friendly, the breakfasts are really nice with a great choice and the restaurant and bar meals fabulous. The hotel is in a great location to explore the forest and beyond. See you next Easter 🌲🍃

We stayed for one night in the family room which as others have mentioned is actually 3 rooms with a double and 2 good size singles. Each of the rooms has a TV and 2 of them have en suite shower rooms with plenty of clean towels. There were also tea and coffee facilities in 2 of the 3 rooms....

Very friendly, helpful staff. Lovely lunch at very reasonable prices. Large portions. Very pleased to have an excuse to visit this hotel due to bad traffic around Rufford Park( must have been something going on). The car radiator was overheating.

Stayed here for 2 nights The staff were all lovely and helpful The room was just ok. The bed was too low and uncomfortable. The bathroom has seen better days and could do with an update. There is not hot water in the sink or bath. The breakfast I found quite unpleasant. Heavily salted and thick bacon with a huge...

Thank you for those comments and I am pleased to read that at least some aspects of this reviewer's stay were acceptable - the staff, the pizza, the pudding. I have to say that I am a little surprised by this feedback. Most of our customers are complimentary about our breakfasts and indeed our food in general. And I think...

Booked this hotel for a family funeral as we were travelling down from Scotland. As it turned out the funeral wake was also being held here. We booked early entry to allow us time to change etc. The staff were most helpful

We are staying at centre parcs for the week and decided on a walk to Sherwood Forest yesterday . We happened to pass your hotel and with it being a warm spring lunchtime we popped in for a drink. We went inside and was greated by a lovely lady behind the bar who not only served our drinks but gave...

Thanks for those comments. Very happy to hear that this reviewer liked the venue and the staff. Very disappointed to read that the meal did not correspond and that only a third of the party were satisfied with their meals. None of our staff are/were aware of any issues which leads me to the conclusion that they either did not...
