This hotel is rather rundown, the carpet in our room was threadbare and in general the hotel needed some TLC. Car parking is a major issue with the allocated spaces being shared by a fast food chain it is difficult to find a space.Fortunately the staff are helpful and friendly or the score would have been lower.
Booked one night at this travel lodge Carpet was poor and been bleached to its death in places Carpark full with customers to KFC who share the same carpark Rear is a travellers site who are on the gi 24hrs in and out of there park Bed was Rock hard so no sleep Over all poor standard, would not recommend staying there
Arrived late from wedding to be greated from the night receptionist karen , very friendly and helpful . The room was really warm , clean ........,...............................................................................
Absolutely fine for one or two nights but does need a deep clean in room 12; the carpet was dirty/marked. Duvet was visible and was grey and looked old. Not enough pillows. It was fine for what I wanted though. Shame Subway has closed down though.
Perfect for stop over. Had everything we needed for the evening.was clean and tidy. Considering it's by a motorway there wasn't much outside noise & we had the window open all night. Beds were comfortable
Due to the breakdown of our motorhome on a live lane of the A1M which then police promptly had towed away to their compound, the failure of the RAC to recover ourselves and our puppy travelling with us, compelled us at MIDNIGHT to find accommodation for the night. We can not thank receptionist SUE & SARA for helping us from 4pm to keep warm & as comfortable as possible, whilst we awaited to be recovered by the RAC. Unbelievably, the RAC INFORMED US AT near midnight to find accommodation as they were unable to recover us that night. They had a Medical Priority listing on our recovery!! Luckily, Sara, found us a room with which we could keep our puppy with us. By this time, we ourselves OAPs and our young puppy, 25 weeks old, were very cold and very tired. We had been travelling from Essex and on our way to Skipton in North Yorkshire. Lisa, the morning receptionist, was as helpful to us s had been Sue and Sara. We should like to thank these 3 ladies, and say that each of them are exceptional in their Customer Service skills, and how very lucky Travelodge Retford Markham Moor are on having them on your team of employees. Each certainly went beyond the extra mile for us and our puppy. We cannot say enough how much we appreciated their help and kindness in a very bad situation for ourselves.…
On arrival very friendly and professional staff giving excellent customer service. My room was spotless and cannot fault anything during my stay. I came to stay at this particular travelodge to go to Christmas Market in Lincolnshire, it was a short drive but was the cheapest place in comparison to everywhere else I looked at.
When arriving in the hotel you could smell cannabis, through the whole building. When entering the room is smelt like a dead body was left inthe room and the carpet was disgusting will not be booking here again,
Pleasant and easy convenient stay in a good location. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The room, bathroom and facilities were all clean and tidy. Very good location just off the A1 and easy to get away in the morning.
I would strongly recommend Retford travel lodge, I just didn’t like that the parking was not right outside and in the night it’s scary to walk through the pathway which led to the hotel as the pathway had bushes besides it .
