Effortless stay and great value for money

We stayed here for a wedding and it was a great choice. Central location, very clean and quiet, comfortable bed, effortless checkin and checkout, polite and friendly team, there is nothing not to like :)

3rd Time Visit! Loving the hotel!

To be fair, I really love this hotel so much because I always go there if there is a wrestling event going at the Forest Town Arena and I really love the place over here too much! It is such a comforting hotel and the room is fantastic, a lot of space for me! That is how I like it like a Boss! Also, member of staff are really super friendly. They were making sure that I am having a good time over there and also, I have managed to get some of my work done with some down time. It has really made it so special after a long day of travelling from Nottingham and also, to HOPE Wrestling at the Forest Town Arena with my wrestling gear and championship belt on me. The staff recognises me straight away. The local amenities are fantastic with Frankie and Benny's, Tesco and Subway too! Also, 5-10 minutes walk away to McDonald's too! I will never ever forget about that place! It was really fun too! I always feel like home while I am over there!!!…

Excellent all round

I have stayed in this hotel about a dozen times since January. It has a much better location than the Premier Inn and Holiday Inn that also serve Mansfield and Sutton-in-Ashfield, being near shops and restaurants in between the two towns. It has plenty of free parking even though the car park is shared with two eateries and a mini Tesco, and it takes about 25 minutes on foot to the centre of Sutton. It is a good, clean hotel and the staff are all friendly and helpful, especially Carla W at reception who has been very obliging when I have made enquiries or requests. I have been in a few Travelodges, and this one certainly has the best decor and the nicest feel to it. The prices are a bit variable, and sometimes steep at weekends, and it pays to book as early as you can.…

I would recommend

Good value for the money, clean well aired room and a really good welcome by the reception staff - I don’t normally do comments on this type of site but this Travel Lodge deserves it and I would recommend it.

Can you turn up and book a room without booking in advance? I am unsure wether or not I'll be staying over during my visit to the area.

Hello, Thank you for your enquiry. We advise all guests to make a booking online to ensure the hotel has availability for them at a great rate. It is possible to arrive and the hotel and check in, however to avoid dissapointment please kindly book via our website or with our Central Reservations team on 08719 848 484. We have two different rates Flexible and Saver. Flexible allows you to cancel the booking up to 12 noon on the day of arrival and receive a refund. Saver is a fixed rate that would not be refunded should you cancel. Hope you have a lovely stay!

Yes, dogs are allowed at a charge of £10.00 per night.

Yes they do allow dogs but I believe you must book and it's £20 per dog/night. Their T&C's also state that dogs must never be left in the room unattended. Check their website.
