En route and needed to eat a hearty meal before reaching our venue. The pub was fairly quiet. We were served after a little wait. Meal choices on the board. Ordered minted lamb and gammon steak. The meals were ok and did the job. Non pretentious and average food.

In Faringdon for a christening and wanted to go for a drink afterwards...hospitality so nice we decided to stay and sample their Carvery offer - great value at £9.95 and £5.50 for kids. Great spread and plenty of it .
The Bell offers a wonderful full English breakfast, cooked to order. The cereal options are good and really good coffee is brought to your table. Every evening there are several 'chef's specials' - last night's liver and bacon meal was excellent and really good value for money.…
Could do with a little brightening up in the bar area, but still quite comfy with an open fire on a chilly day. Good priced food and good friendly service. Quite nice outside area which we have used on a previous visit. Overall well worth a visit
