Thankfully I was only here from 10pm. No wardrobe to hang clothes, not even a coat hanger! No hot water for a shower, not even a hook to hang the shower up. When I complained the management said, well it is a budget room sir. God knows what breakfast is going to be like! Wish me luck.

The Bell Hotel is a truly wonderful place to stay. The staff are all very warm and welcoming, and willing to help out in any way they can. My family and I have used this hotel for many years now whilst my father was living in the town. I recently spent two weeks there as my father was ill, and...

Spent 2 nights in room 1, not the largest or with excessive frills and the en suite is 5 yards away in a separate room. Window wouldn't shut correctly and for a multi day stay no wardrobe or space to gang your clothes. If you want cheap and cheerful this is the place, food also not the greatest.

Had a lovely lunch here today with my husband and son. The pie was exceptional, the pork belly, and the goat cheese salad very nice. Well worth another visit. £41 for 3 including drinks. Very good value too.

My husband and I stayed here Saturday night as a birthday getaway from nearby Bicester. Arrived earlier than the 2pm check-in and were kindly shown straight up to our room. Very large room, comfy bed, had a great night's sleep, and large bathroom, tv, tea/coffee/kettle/biscuits etc in room, all nicely decorated, squeaky floors, uneven walls, and at the front of...

Squeaky doors, uneven floors, ghosts, cobbles, rip roaring log fire. All the prerequisites of an old English hotel. Don't even think about coming to The Bell if you like military operation style travel lodge type places or London boutique hotels. The Bell is an essential hotel. A hotel that is really the focul point of the village. Sadly to many...

Stayed here for a couple of nights for work, it's a lovely family owned place. The owner was very friendly and helpful and the food I ate was very good. The restaurant area had a very friendly atmosphere and my only regret was not being able to see more of the local area. Lots of history around this place.

Stayed at this hotel / inn on 3 separate occasions, and is nicely located near shops and and a cash machine. The staff are polite and helpful and all rooms have a nice supply of coffee, tea and biscuits. Room towels are changed daily and, shower gel and hair shampoo are provided. The car park at the back of the...
