We had stayed here before and it was terrible, we were told there was new owners so thought we would give it a try, so glad we did, WoW ! what a difference. Room was spotless, bed was comfortable, staff so friendly and polite, there aim was definitely to make our stay enjoyable. The Landlord James was a delight. The food was excellent, the Chef Kieron, served amazing food, restaurant quality for a local pub, another James waiting at tables was very polite, smartly dressed and couldn't do enough for us. What a great team , can't wait to come back . See you soon. ! Cheers Sue & Rod.

Great location for the Discovery centre and Stokesay Castle. Recently taken over by new owners and they are in the process of doing up the rooms. Currently the rooms are a tad dated, but spotlessly clean and had everything you need, bed was comfy. The owners were very helpful.

Visited on Sunday with my two friends for lunch on Sunday to cure our hangovers and it was spot on! The gin went down too well and of course the food was lovely and the service was great, can’t fault it at all!

Came down for a Sunday snack in the sun with a few drinks. We both had the Stokesay burger. It was lovely!! Great attentive staff! Thank you!! Would definitely return. Nice outdoor seating area, some areas sheltered.

Well, what can I say. From start to finish everything was perfect. We opted for the rump steak followed by the most beautiful homemade white chocolate cheesecake. The service from all staff was second to none. All covid guidelines exceeded and we felt extremely well liked after and safe. Menu was very reasonably priced and the quality of food was amazing. Well worth a visit
