whatever has happened to the Acton? this used to be the "go to " place on a Friday or Saturday when I lived in Bridgnorth many moons ago. I called in here jut passing through, what a dump. It looks as if it is literally falling apart. Apparently there is a manager in place on behalf of the landlord. Filthy...

We often pass by this pub. However the other Sunday we stopped for food as it seemed to have a bolt on eatery / lounge. Being Sunday late afternoon the lounge area was closed. I went to investigate the bar area as my wife is not a pub person generally. As a bar it is fine, darts, locals laughing and...

We stopped off here for a quick dinner. Sat down at a table which still had plates on it, these were cleared away quickly but the table wasn't cleaned down and was certainly a little sticky. Ordered our meals which arrived quickly. I had the flatbread with bbq chicken and cheese - you can choose between chips and salad -...

Visited here with two friends on the 30th June,we had a very nice meal and very reasonably priced. The Manager and wife were very polite as was the young lad who served us. Everything was cooked to perfection and plenty of it. We would certainly visit here again when we are in that area.

I used to pass this place regularly and never gave it a second thought with it being a Marstons. However, one day I popped in. That was a year a go. Now I pop in frequently. Before I go on. Yes. I like fine dining. This is not it! This is what it is. A Marstons. Wholesome standard pub grub....

Super country pub for drinks and food. Lovely pub grub and friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Can recommend the burgers! The fact dogs are welcome in the bar is a bonus and our pup is always welcomed by everyone. Helen and Craig are super landlords. Definitely highly recommend!

Stopped for lunch on the journey back from a holiday in the Cotswolds, what a poor choice! Ordered a simple jacket potato and ciabatta, after about 45 minutes our food eventually arrived, the potato was obviously microwaved and not only that it had a green hue on the skin, needless to say I only ate the filling, the ciabatta wasn't...

On a positive the service was lovely. However, the food was awful. Mash that was clearly made from smash. Veg was poor and not at all fresh, sprouts could be left over from Christmas. All in all no way would we go back, it was like something out of the 70's, there really can be no excuse for such poor...

Simply, this place is a disaster, cold, uninviting with totally uninterested staff. Avoid at all costs, even though these premises are in a prime location and could make money, no one seems interested. it was like visiting a bar I once frequented in Eastern Germany, but that , at least, had atmosphere.
