Lovely place with friendly and helpful staff. Have been before and the food was sublime. On this visit we were told that if one of us had chips we could not eat in the restaurant and would have to go in the bar! (Pretentious perhaps?). We moved from a warm cosy bar to a cold lounge room and sat at...

Dear, Andrea Thank you for your comments and we are sorry that we did not live up to your expectations on this occasion. At the Raven we are passionate about all our food, using the same level of care, expertise and fresh market produce for both the Lounge menu, the A la Carte menu and the tasting menus. The Lounge...

Check in was fairly friendly. I was shown up to my room which was spacious with a four poster bed. The bathroom was a liitle small. Unfortunately there was no hot water. I went to reception and they said they had another room available in another building a short walk across the car park. This room was also spacious with...

We stayed for just one night in the Forge annexe. The room was spacious but tired-looking and the bathroom was very much in need of an upgrade with poor grouting, chipped tiles and a quite grubby looking vinyl floor. The mirror over the dressing table was high on the wall meaning I had to stand to use it. The dated...

We stayed one night on the way home from South Wales and what a great experience, when we booked, we did not realise that the Chef is Jason Hognet of Great British Menu fame, the rooms are nice and well appointed, not luxurious but perfectly fine, the pub side of the business is good retaining it's village pub feel and...

Stayed on the 13th February for one night. What a wonderful hotel. Very friendly staff, lovely comfortable rooms. There was a Valentines menu which started with canapés and fizz at 6.45 with dinner at 7.30pm. We had booked our table for 8pm as we wanted to enjoy pre dinner drinks with friends. Even though we weren't booked in for the...

We were given a meal at the Raven by our Daughter and Son-in-law for Christmas. Was excited as we had seen the chef on GBM. Every detail of our visit was excellent, from the greeting to our farewell. Good selection of drinks and a comfy place to sit whilst our starter courses were prepared, All the food is locally sourced,...

The Raven is a lovely traditional coaching inn, centrally placed in the historic little town of Much Wenlock. The rooms are comfortable, roomy and characterful. The restaurant is well appointed and the meals are excellent. That, together with staff who cannot do enough for you, means that a stay at the Raven is a must in the Much Wenlock area.

I stayed here with my wife and baby girl, and I have to say that we found the hotel staff amazing. My wife always worries about staying at Hotels with a little one, however the staff were so accomodating they even set us up for dinner in our own area so that we could relax without the worry of being...

Overnight stay. Hate to harp on about this hotel. However, the service really is very good and the staff ultra friendly and attentive. Spent New Years Eve there, yet again! Seven course menu, excellent, chef really has to be complimented. We like going to this hotel as we are not paying for facilities that we do not use, no gym,...
