I stayed one night on a deal (B&B < £60). The room was beautiful, clean, comfortable. There were nice teas/coffees and nice toiletries. I was just thinking what a good deal I had got and planning to bring my wife next time... All fall down! When it was light I could see the outside of the window had not been...

Dear Mr Johns, Thank you for taking the trouble to leave your feedback. We are delighted you found"the room beautiful ,clean and comfortable with nice teas and nice toiletries" for the £55.25 bed and breakfast you paid. The exterior of the window that you mention is cleaned by a window cleaner every 4 weeks and those inconsiderate spiders can spin their...

What a pleasure to pull up to, the driveway leading up to the house is a delight. Plenty of parking surrounding the house and grounds. We stayed just one night on our way to North Wales, so it made a lovely stop over point. We had room 6 which looked out to the side of the house and had a...

I just stayed at the Sweeney Hall hotel and enjoyed it. It's a beautiful old Georgian style mansion house and has a wonderful atmosphere. Staff seemed a little stretched. We'd mentioned on booking that we would arrive late and wanted to eat. After watching various waiting staff busily attending to diners (and ignoring us weary travellers exhausted after several punishing...

My son and I shared room 4 for one Sunday night on our way to Snowdonia. The very reasonable room rate included dinner, bed and breakfast. I have to say this place ticked so many boxes. It is as far from the corporate plan, portion control of hotels run by accountants as you can imagine. Our room was huge with...

This hotel has a great location in parkland near Oswestry. The rooms are very reasonably priced. The rate includes a good breakfast (only criticism is the limited choice of cereals). The decoration is a bit eccentric.

Dined at The Sweeney this evening and once again a truly excellent meal. The staff are always so friendly. It is by far the best restaurant in the area. We will be visiting again in 2 weeks time for a family get together.

I went her for my boyfriends birthday dinner with his parents. We got there for half six ish so that we could eat from a menu that has 3 courses for about £17. The food was excellent, especially for such a good price. This amount I would expect to pay for a local pub meal or more, but the Sweeney...

We went with friends to check out the food and venue, with a view to booking for a wedding. The menu looked nice, the young gentleman taking our menu choice was very professional, then our experience went downhill. Our starters were mediocre, lacking flavour, the pan fried haloumi was missing the Crispy kale, the bread served with the mackerel was...

This is the second time we've been for lunch here. As previously, we had a delicious lunch and shared dessert. Staff were courteous and the place was clean and welcoming. We look forward to our third visit.
