I was quite looking for forward to my stay here, a couple of hours after arriving, zi found myself questioning how on earth it has got a 4 star rating. I booked an "Executive Room" and was checked in by a really lovely and friendly receptionist. The room was massive but really bare, it didn't really make sense. I noticed... More

Attended a Sunday Lunch function hear last week. The hotel and the room was lovely and we have attended one of these occasions before. However this time I was disappointed with the food and the service. The vegetables were undercooked and the roast potatoes were clearly bought frozen ones and were rock hard! The service was so slow it was... More

Chaotic place settings that didn't follow the table plans. One guest was left without a seat even though that guest was allocated a place on the table plan. Bad delivery of different courses of the meal, some guests having to wait for their food a lot longer than others. Vegetables where hard and undercooked.

Stayed one night in room 2. It was actually more like having your own flat. It had a spacious living room, a large bedroom with a lovely 4 poster king size bed and a massive bathroom with a jacuzzi bath, sheer luxury! The hotel is large and made up of two large and grand old properties joined together. It is... More

Stayed in one of the cottages (the same as two previous years). Clean, warm, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast has changed back to a buffet style which was good news. A vast improvement over last year. A good hearty breakfast. Im glad I gave it a second chance. Special thanks to Lisa and Sue for the good service. Staff have always been... More

Great to find a good clean pet friendly hotel. Staff welcoming, polite and conversational. Restaurant food delicious and good service by friendly waiters. Bar ambience was great and being able to have a quiet drink and have our dog with us was fab. Only thing I'd suggest they ditch are the plastic flowers in the breakfast room.

We stayed for two nights. Good spot and plenty of parking space. Had a large upstairs double room that was a good size. The decor was a bit tired though. Paint stained above the chandelier and peeling slightly with age. The plughole on the sink had no grill and would swallow up any small item like a ring. I complained... More

My wife and I stayed here for three nights at the end of this month October. The hotel was excellent, quiet and very very clean. The staff friendly and attentive. Set in a nice garden in a pleasant town. The breakfasts are really good.
