I do enjoy this hotel and stay here 2 or 3 times a year. What I like about it is the fact it is not a chain, and has character (which I understand may put people off). The staff are friendly, the food is good (especially the breakfast), and the rooms vary a bit. Room rates are reasonable, but I...

Full English Breakfast Excellent Bar service was poor as had to keep finding someone. No lift is a problem and building is rambling so lots of uneven surfaces to negotiate, no good for elderly or disabled people upstairs. Grounds are very nice be sure to look for the albino squirrel as you drive in. Rooms in the new wing are...

Hotel a little tired but really quite charming with lovely grounds. We were there on a family break - 9 of us from 8 years old to 88 years and the staff in every department couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and warm. Quality of restaurant surpassed our expectations, the young staff in the bar and restaurant could not have...

Second time staying here and another great overnight stay. What a lovely historic hotel, staff are very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a lovely family room, staying with my Mum and my 8 year old son. It is a lovely hotel, set in acres of land and plenty to explore, my son enjoyed kicking a football around the grounds....

We took one of those "dinner bed and breakfast" package deals that are all the rage these days. The Hall itself is a grand old building and has been used for various purposes down the years. It has character... You might end up with a fair distance to walk between Reception and your room - there are only a couple...

Haughton Hall is an Grade 2 listed 18th century country house, and it's just that. Some reviewers state, it needs updating, updating to what? If you want something modern, book a new hotel, simple. A bit like restoring a 50 year old classic to fit a modern engine to it, defeats the object. REMEMBER it's a 3* but easily a...

We stayed just the one night but had a lovely time. The staff here are so nice and friendly, they certainly don't stint with the heating here. We had a bottle of wine in our room on arrival which was nice Our evening meal was very good, four of us ate and we were all happy with what we had....

I was put in charge of planning my friends hen do. Being a bunch of professionals we wanted something to relax. The staff have been brilliant at helping me organise this last minute weekend! From organising the treatment times to making sure that they had rooms availible for us! Thank you so much for making this easy for me! :)

The Hotel is rated as a 3 star and so you do see a few scuff marks and a bit of chipped paint here and there. However, the restaurant and Bar area seem to be 4 star at least!. We had a Classic Double room. This was of good size with nice large windows overlooking a lawn and past that...

Spent two nights there, from booking in to booking out, no one showed any interest in us at all, or asked our opinion about anything. As two infirm older guests, no one showed us to our room or offered assistance with bags to get up the stairs in the annex, we managed though. The room was not very dated, poorly...

Dear Frank B Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, as many of your comments do not reflect the level of facilities and service that we provide daily. To answer a couple of your points, our afternoon tea offers a lovely chocolate fondue with fruit to dip at the end of the substantial offering...
