My 3rd stay at Dolffanog Fach. I love this small family run B&B where guests receive a warm welcome and homemade complimentary extras and finishing touches which exceed expectations, such as delicious homemade cookies, fresh flowers, robes etc. We booked the 'Romantic Weekend for 2" package and loved the cold platter supper on arrival, delicious evening meal on the 2nd...

Spotlessly clean. Plenty to choose from for breakfast, generous portions, good food. We were there on the two nights dinner is not available so cannot comment on evening menu. Tea making facilities and two jars of excellent biscuits in the bedroom. Based ten minutes walk from Cadair Idris (ideal) but had to drive out for evening meal as nowhere within...

Thank you very much for your review. I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and pleased you enjoyed the biscuits. You were unlucky to come on Sunday and Monday as we don't serve dinner on those nights but hopefully, if you come again, you will be able to try our lovely dinners. Many thanks Sara...

I came to go for a walk over Cadair Idris, a walk I know well, and found the B&B by accident. Really couldn't ask for anything else from a B&B. Great Hosts, Lovely Rooms, Picture perfect location. I really loved my stay and will definitely be back.

This is a great little B&B. To summarise - the room was spotless, the bed was super comfy, the shower was hot and powerful and the breakfast was amazing! Sara and Carl really have taken care of all the details and there was nothing I would have asked them to do differently. The biscuits in the room were a delicious...

Rooms were very comfortable and meals were excellent. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They offered some great ideas about places to visit in North Wales. Only downside was rather slow internet access.

So glad you enjoyed your stay with us. You are being very generous in your description of our internet access - we describe it a woeful! Still, it's the price we pay for living in such a stunning and peaceful area and it is nice for people to be able to get away from it all by not having their...

This is our 1st time to Dolffanog Fach, but won't be our last! We have had an amazing weekend, our room is gorgeous and really spacious, plenty of great features, proper ground coffee, fresh milk daily and cold water as well as home made cookies! I'd like to say hubby ate most of those, well he did on the first...

That is such a wonderful review, thank you so much. When we moved to Dolffanog Fach our first aim was to create somewhere welcoming and friendly. Our 2nd was to focus on small details that often get forgotten about so it is so fantastic when people comment on these little details. We are also pleased your son coped with the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sara & Carl would love to welcome you to Dolffanog Fach. Our aim is to provide the warm and friendly welcome of a traditional B&B with the standards and special touches you would expect from a boutique hotel. Unlike most B&Bs we do not "live in", we have a little cottage just next door so you don't need to feel as though you are staying in someone's home. We have 4 lovely double bedrooms, a sitting room with a log fire and a beautiful dining room with a slate floor and wood burning stove. Our dining room is big enough to accommodate individual tables for each guests but small enough to be cosy and allow you to chat to other guests if you wish. We have a large garden that you are welcome to explore with a garden railway which our children will be more than happy to demonstrate! We also have a Finnish Sauna which is just perfect after a long day's hike or cycle in our astonishingly beautiful surroundings. If you are a walker or mountain biker then we can offer you our "Boots & Bikes" Room. Secure storage for your bikes, boots, helmets and clothes and we can also offer laundry facilities. Our breakfasts are designed to really set you up for the day and also offer plenty of variety if you are staying for more than a few days. You could stay for a week and have a different breakfast every day! We really want to offer our guests value for money and put a lot of effort into the little things, the biscuits in the rooms are homemade and freshly baked, the milk is fresh and the coffee is ground and there are lots of other little touches that guests always comment on and say how much they make a difference. Children of any age are more than welcome and stay free if under 12 and sharing their parents room. We also welcome dogs and they are allowed in the rooms and sitting room, we don't permit them in the dining room but you are welcome to leave them in the bedrooms while you eat. We hope you'll come and stay with us, we can promise you a friendly welcome, lovely rooms, delicious food, glorious surroundings and a truly relaxing stay. ... more   less
