Stayed there four days with biker friends. Stayed in rooms overlooking the lake which were clean, tidy and had everything needed. The area is stunning, and the roads a bikers dream. Lots of riding, some walking and too much eating :-) Very friendly staff. Well recommended.

Visited the restaurant for Sunday lunch with the family. Following the re-launch have aimed high with servers wearing white gloves etc. No manager was visible in the restaurant and sadly although pleasant enough the waiting staff have clearly been given inadequate training and have no idea how to deliver to that market. Service was very slow and chaotic even though...

A gem of a hotel in magnificent setting. Apparently, the previous owners had no interest and let the hotel -which was a local must go to location - becomes sad and unwelcoming. Old reviews on TripAdvisor and talking to local confirmed this. The new owners have breathed life into the hotel and are gaining a reputation from both locals and...

What a lovely hotel. A real pleasure to stay there. A group of 15 of us travelling through Wales stayed for the night and we were made welcome with our every wish catered for. All the staff were friendly and competent and working in harmony demonstrating just how a hotel should be run. The food was first rate, the beds...

We stayed two nights. On arrival there was a lovely welcome from the receptionist. The room was really nicely furnished and decorated and was very quiet and comfortable at night. I did have to ask for hangers as there were none at all in the wardrobe - a minor detail, I think. The bathroom was modern and clean and I...

Delighted to see this amazing venue is under new ownership, refurbished and being properly run. The location by the Tal Y Llyn lake is world class, so to find a pleasant hotel overlooking the 220 acres of natural water and the soaring mountains of the Cadair Idris in the heart of Snowdonia, is genuinely outstanding. It is few minutes drive...

Whilst browsing along the restaurants on the front in Aberdovey we stopped to chat to a local man who recommended we tried the Tyn-y-Cornell. It was a bit of a drive but wow was it worth it. We had our puppy with us so was told we couldn't dine in the conservatory but could dine in the lounge. We sat...
