Went here for the first time last week for an evening meal. Its a traditional village pub and has a nice warm friendly atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. There was an extensive menu and our choices were excellent (Lamb Shank and Sea Bass) also a good beer and wine selection was available. We will definitely make...

As with other reviewers we would find it hard to fault the hospitality offered here. The accommodation was explained to us and was clean, well appointed and comfortable. The evening meal was excellent from a wide a varied menu which was realistically priced. The puddings are a must. The wine list is not hige but surely there would be something...

This is a proper inn. There is a roomy, characterful and comfortable bar with two adjoining casual dining or more formal restaurant areas. So it is both an excellent pub and a place to eat and the two functions don't impinge on each other as happens in many pub/ restaurants these days. There are four really clean, well appointed and...

From the very start we felt very welcomed by Peter and Cath. We were shown our room and all housekeeping was explained from the start. The accommodation is set next to the hotel with a small and pretty outside seating area. Very quiet and secluded. Good safe car park across the road. Charming bar with outdoor seating out front. The...

My friend asked me to accompany her to her daughters Hen Weekend- they were camping near by. My friend realised I did not wish to camp so booked this B&B. I could not fault it, from the warm welcome we got, the delicious food we ate and the flexibility on the time we ate our breakfast. The landlord and his...

Home cooked food was 'ok' but not made to feel very welcome. Only three others in the whole pub and absolutely no atmosphere; a bit take it or leave it. Probably would 'leave it' in future and travel down the road for a better welcome!

Arrived in time for a yummy home made steak and ale pie. Peter the landlord was very friendly and informative. Our room was clean and warm, beds comfy. Large wet room. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Great value and an enjoyable stay.

Looked up The Tynte Arms on trip advisor after booking it, and read some of the existing reviews, which painted the landlord in quite a negative light, and made me a little apprehensive. After meeting him in person, these reviews seem very unfair, we received a warm, friendly welcome, and were shown to our room, which was very clean and comfortable....
