Clean and spacious rooms. Good wi-fi. Overhead light in room was flickering and when we reported to staff, he replied he was aware of it, and had tried to replace, but bulb was out of stock. It was hard to see what I was doing after dusk and even during daylight hours. Food was good and we decided to have...

The Malt Shovel is a cosy old pub with lots of character situated a short drive from Steart Marshes and other nature reserves in the area. We stayed for 3 nights in the b&b accommodation which is a purpose built row of basic rooms adjacent to the main building. The staff were friendly and proactive -they even suggested we move...

This is a good local pub just outside Bridgwater. The room I had was pleasant enough and fine for a night as I was in the area on Business. Everything in the room was functional. Room had shower and bath, tea and coffee etc. There could have been a bit more attention to detail with regard to cleaning, as there...

we have used the Malt Shovel on numerous occasions and they always look after our needs. Great choice of food, including a proper pie, not just stew with a lid on! The rooms are very comfortable and clean with a good amount of space.

I stayed at the Malt Shovel Inn for one night while visiting Somerset, and really enjoyed my time there. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was absolutely delicious and the rooms were cosy and certainly warm enough - it's the first time I've found a heater that actually works! As much as I'd love to give this...

Lovely welcoming staff. The rooms are all in a row adjacent to the pub and the garden is just outside and the car park is beyond the grass so parking is really handy for the rooms. Even when the pub was really busy there were still spaces available. The rooms are basic but perfectly adequate. We had a twin room...

Visited this pub after seeing reviews on TripAdvisor. Although tucked away, it is worth a visit. The menu was quite extensive for a country pub. I had the goats cheese burger with sweet potato fries which was very tasty. My husband had the steak pie which he said was very good, with very tasty gravy although he couldn't finish his...

Me and partner stayed here after a wedding in a nearby village. We originally booked on laterooms.com and picked it as it was the cheapest! However we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of our stay. Rooms are basic but clean, and very comfortable. The bar/restaurant serves home cooked meals (we had already eaten elsewhere, but the food being brought...
