So, the decor needs work, it's definitely a village pub, but, the roast was great... it could have done with more veg options, but, for the price you can't knock it. The portion size is great! The staff really friendly and helpful. Would we go back? Yes we would! It's honest food at the right price.... not gastro pub prices..

the owners have changed since my last visit but the new ones have kept the standards and are looking to move the bell forward whilst maintaining the country/community pub image, still a great place to stay when visiting the area

The staff at the hotel/restaurant were most welcoming and helpful. The meals were excellent and certainly value for money. There is a lovely open fire in the bar and plenty of off road parking. On the hotel/B and B side, the premises are ready for updating as some of the facilities were very basic with the decor showing it's age....

EXCELLENT.... we have just had a funeral tea for my mother-in -law at the Bell Inn. Sandwiches and cake, tea and coffee. An amazingly huge spread at a very reasonable cost for 50 family members and friends, after a service at Shepton Mallet Crematorium Did us proud. The menus for food looks good so will visit for a meal. Grateful...

I've been here many times before but first time since under new management. It was lovely and superb and the same staff and chef which helps. Lovely old local former coaching inn. My sister in law had fish and chips and says it was light crispy batter. My wife had minced lamb burger and chips and coleslaw. Again lovely and...

We stayed at the Bell in for two nights, it was very well located for us to explore Wells and The Clarkes Village. The Inn itself was not fancy(the Landladys words not mine) but it was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, we have never been made more welcome the staff are second to none. We had the best breakfast which...

Went with a Group of friends for the Sunday roast carvery today and for sure it was the best roast I've ever had in a pub or restaurant. Fantastic quality meat and veg and cooked to perfection. Well done chef and staff! If you haven't been here, then you must go. You won't be disappointed 😀

We have just enjoyed a lovely lunch at The Bell Inn, it makes a pleasant change to be served homemade good food piping hot! Both our meals were lovely, served with fresh vegetables, and both the food and drinks were very reasonably priced. If I am lucky enough to be in this area again I will definitely return.

We stayed in the Inn on a voucher ( a retirement present from friends) so that we could visit Wells. Perfect location (Wells was only 13 minutes). The room was very clean and comfortable and warm (it was a freezing day). We were able to park easily and the hosts welcomed us even though it was early afternoon. Huge log...
