We stayed at Archangel for 2 nights in November with the intent to visit Longleat. On the day of arrival it turned out that Longleat had closed for 2 weeks and the staff gave us complimentary cocktails to cheer us up! They didn't have to do that but it certainly worked. We had a small luxury double which was amazing...

We booked a room at the Archangel for two nights. The friendly welcome was a relief after the arrival of Germany by plane and car. We arrived just before 9:00 pm and got a light meal despite the late hour. A parking space is 2 walking minutes from the hotel, 3.60 pounds for 24 hours. The room was cozy and...

We used frome as a base to explore the local are with 2 children during half term. Although you wouldn't initially consider a bar/restaurant with accommodation...the room was lovely, clean and the great big tin bath was great for the kids! Catering was superb, we had one dinner and 3 breakfasts there and couldn't fault anything. Cocktails and wine list...

Our very old friend, Michel stayed over Christmas at the Archangel again this year. He's a hard man to please: Parisians always are, but he loves it there. The hotel is so well placed, right in the heart of buzzing, fashionable Frome so he can walk everywhere he needs to go. His room was large and comfortable..he even broke his...

We stayed in the...

Hotel doesn't have a car park and the sat nav code was taking me down a derelict road? Eventually found car park and walked to hotel? Was shown to room by subdued manager. Room was very quirky and was clean and comfortable. Bath was lovely and again bed was comfortable. Ordered room service, this was excellent. Breakfast, arrived on opening...

Possibly the worst place I've ever stayed in. No parking and had to leave our car in a dodgy car park around the corner. The room was unclean, the bathroom was damp and had not seen a decent clean or a bottle of bleach - black grime on the tiles and nowhere to place your toiletries. I've stayed in far...

This hotel does have one thing going for it,as a family room it was a decent size and well heated, sadly the creaky floor and old age design was awful and looked more like it was falling apart than old age decor,no parking tho you can pay to park at a local open car park, food was edible, music was playing until around...
