We spent three nights at the Hood Arms in Kilve in November 2015 and found it a great place to stay. Our room was spacious with a really new bathroom and lots of facilities. The bed was so comfortable it was difficult to leave it each morning. But we had to get up for the delicious breakfasts. Best ever eggs...

My wife and I stayed in the Hood Arms for two nights. It's a good, friendly locals' pub, with a warm fire and a welcoming atmosphere, so it's deservedly popular in the area. The beers are well-kept and delicious, and the food is interesting and well-prepared. Good wine list, too - nothing pretentious, but carefully chosen for variety and value....

We went on a Sunday. The roast was delicious with freshly cooked vegetables and potatoes. Atmosphere good and plenty of seating in garden. Ideal for sunny day. Approx one mile down the road is wonderful coastline for a walk.

We spent three nights here September 2015 on a Living Social Deal. The inn was really busy when we arrived mid afternoon on a Sunday, with many tables having roast dinners, which looked very tasty. Our room was tastefully decorated with a view of the pretty beer garden. Generous amounts of toiletries and tea and biscuits etc were supplied. The...

A typical country pub - obviously lives for horses, hunting and riding,so if you don't approve, keep away. It's a pub not a hotel so think outside that box: Rooms are old fashioned but perfectly comfortable; you get used to the smell of dog and old leather. There is a log fire in the bar and arm chairs; and a garden...

Pictures of rooms on website must have been taken years ago. Rooms very tired. The whole place smelt of wet dogs. Our window wouldn't shut at all so we had to close curtains to keep rain out. Very busy road. Parking awful. Breakfast nice but carpet in the pub smelt. Waiter for our meal was clueless and they tried to...

Been here a number of times over the last year. The service definitely varies in attention and quality but the food, beer a, wine and ambience is good. best after a walk in the beach or in the winter with a nice fire.

Room was unclean and needs a lot of updating. Electrics need attention. Lights which switch on bathroom and hall so it's all or nothing! A family room but when both child beds were out you couldn't shut the door! Pictures on websites have been taken years ago. Parking is awful on a really busy road. Thank goodness we were only...
