My friend and I walked around Exmoor for a few days, starting, and ending, our trip in Porlock. The Cottage was exactly what we needed both sides of the trip. Chris and Claire were responsive to our booking enquiries, and really friendly and helpful once we arrived. Yummy cooked breakfast and *excellent* mattresses - we slept so well!

Stopped off for one night with my 12 year old on the first leg of the Coast Path. Chris was a very welcoming host for two tired walkers. We thought the resident's lounge was a great idea and my son played with some of the games. Our room was spacious and the breakfast was one of the best we had...

Porlock is divine, where else do you get a cheery street cleaner (Eric) tidying the roads and pavements at 8.00am on a Sunday morning !! Porlock full of not on the normal high street shops and tea rooms Great pubs and restaurants We cannot praise Clare and Chris proprietors of The Cottage enough. Absolutely wonderful service, facilities and fantastic breakfast.

Highly recommend The Cottage B&B in Porlock. Claire and Chris couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Perfect base for visiting Exmoor. Excellent rooms and delicious breakfast. Claire even lent us her walking boots... Looking forward to a return visit. Many thanks.

We had never heard of Porlock until a conversation with my mum about best fish & chips and she said in Porlock. So I looked it up and thought yes that's a bit of me! Unfortunately the fish & chip shop was closed until march but our accommodation was fantastic. I was going to book a rental but I looked...

My wife and I had a lovely stay here while walking the South West Coast Path. The house is beautiful and had a great Xmas tree when we visited after New Year. The room was spacious, warm and immaculate.

Chris and Clare made me feel at home at the cottage! The room was very comfortable with everything I needed. Breakfast was lovely too, with a large spread to keep me going for a long days walk ahead of me to Lynton. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others of coming this way
