I so wanted to give this place a very high rating because the building is stunning, the reception rooms are comfortable and beautifully furnished and the staff pleasant but, on occasions, not terribly efficient. Sadly, the bedrooms and bathrooms are way past their best. We were shown three rooms, the first one had lovely views and would have been my...

Seems amazing when you arrive and see the drive and grounds. The reception area is a little shabby but seemed OK due to the Christmas decorations. The rooms are up several flights of uneven stairs, Again seems quaint, but after using several times it was unsettling with a handrail that was too low and a little shaky. I'm sure a...

My wife and I stayed one night at Ston Easton over Christmas. The room was large and very well appointed, the food was outstanding, and the gardens were a joy to walk around. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.

This has been one of the most difficult reviews I have written. The house is well known to me but it's been a while since I last visited. It's clear it has started to deteriorate even though it still presents as an impressive country mansion. But a lack of either investment or care means it is becoming a little frayed...

We stayed for one night but we wished that we had booked for longer. We will be going back because we really enjoyed our brief stay. Also, the hotel is very dog friendly, so next time we will include our four legged friend on the guest list. In summary: it is a posh hotel that makes you feel that you...

A very "grand" property but getting a bit dated now. We had the benefit of an upgrade, thank you reservations staff for your brilliant service, the bedroom was superb but the bathroom was somewhat shabby and out of date. Overall the hotel felt old fashioned and unchanged from the 1980's. Annoyingly, the wi-fi seemed to be available in one lounge...

Hotel is grand and charming. Breakfasts are endless. Staff are lovely. Dogs are very welcome. Room was comfortable. We did have a bit of an issue with central heating which was resolved. Advise hotel to offer some room treats.....little cost which add something special e.g chocolates/biscuits

My husband surprised me with a stay here for our anniversary. The receptionist was very polite and showed us to our room (The Pavilion). The room was beautifully decorated, had ample storage, lots of delightful little extras, the bed was large and comfortable and we had everything we needed and were free to roam the lovely building (after they had...

Spent a night here with friends; the welcome was so friendly and warm. It really is a magnificent building. My room was lovely and quiet, and looked out over a courtyard at the back of the hotel. The bathroom was v well equipped, with plenty of hot water, fluffy towels and bathrobes. I collapsed after and excellent dinner into a...

We had a fantastic one night stay here. Although we had a very nice room, it was the smallest in hotel. It would have been good to be offered the opportunity to pay for upgrade as hotel was less than half full. The restaurant meal was superb. Staff were fantastic throughout hotel looking after all our needs, and genuinely passionate...
