Having been travelling between North Somerset and North Devon for the last eleven years, we used to eat both lunch and evening meals here. However, a few years ago we thought the standard had dropped considerably, and hadn't gone here since. This time we were...More

I cannot fault this friendly inn. We were guests at a Christmas dinner/dance in the Captain's Suite held by a local riding club. The carvery was delicious with a generous selection of vegetables and sauces, the desserts were out of this world and the cheese...More

Nicola E
Absolutely amazed to get a response from management in response to my review dated July 2017 titled Appalling Customer Service as its more than I managed to achieve during all previous contact with the inn. Unfortunately, however this response is totally incorrect. The first time I was told that deposits are usually non-refundable was when I tried to cancel the booking. Yes a letter with a receipt was sent to me but as stated in my initial review no terms and conditions were enclosed. I agree it is a shame I had to voice this disappointment on here but having attempted several times to get a direct answer from management and not, I felt I had no other option, wouldn't you agree? I now see that if the management feel they have to lie then how can staff be expected to offer a high level of customer service. Avoid at all costs.
