An unpleasant overnight stay in two adjoining rooms. We expected cheap and cheerful but even the cheap was overpriced. Poor entrance lacking in welcome, run down, dilapidated, rubbish blowing around outside, only ever saw one member of staff who clearly intimated he was overworked. His pleasant and helpful demeanor however did not make up for the stay in rooms which...

This hotel was a terrible disappointment. The facilities are all dilapidated and run down. The breakfast is terrible. The restaurant doesn't operate. The tennis court has no net. The swimming pool is dirty. The promise of fishing and shooting is non-existent. It is located in the middle of no-where in an area that is not very interesting. It is overpriced...

Me and my partner booked on booking.com as a last minute deal.. Originally to stay at the Fox and goose but when we arrived they were fully booked. So we were advised to go here by the receptionist at the Fox and goose who stated this was a 'very nice place to stay'.. She couldn't of been more wrong!! After...

Please don't be fooled by the photos on the web page. Booked for a weekend stay at laburnum lodge and found the whole experience very disappointing overcharged for the room apparently asking for a double bed is classed as an upgrade. The rooms were very dated needed a good clean the plus side was the bed and bedding were clean...

Booked last minute to stay here in mid August. Was ok and clean but you could get better value and nicer surroundings nearby for the same price. Paid £100 per night and from reviews on here people have got it cheaper

I stayed in the lodges rather than the hotel itself as I was there a long time. The place was a state when I arrived, mouldy, damp walls, bugs, broken cooker, no freezer, th cooker and all cutlery and plates were filthy. It was discusting. I spent some time cleaning to get it to a livable state and to be...

Booked through booking.com..Never worth the money.Paid £70 for room one night..wouldn't have paid any more that £40..It does have great portential, but needs money spending on it.Needs maintainence man desperately, new furniture , carpet, decorating were all from the 80s... swimming pool and facilities were a joke..heath hazard. On plus side, great setting, great potential and lovely staff.

I booked to stay at laburnum as a last minute thing. I wanted to go a surprise family on holiday in the area. It was on of the only places that would take the amount of people in my booking and be in one room. I called the hotel direct and got a cheaper price of £100 compared to the...
