Very nice restaurant, very friendly staff. Great food, particularly the desserts. Really good sized portions and we all liked the dishes we tried. We liked it so much we returned for a second visit. Highly recommended, especially the cheesecake!! Re social distancing, tables were well separated and numbers in restaurant limited.

We had a very relaxing break at this small family run hotel on the edge of Exmoor. It's pretty basic but therein lies the charm. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and we had a pleasant view of the garden at the rear (Room 8). We ate in the hotel restaurant on the first night and the meal was exceptional. 10 out of 10 for my lamb chops and my wife's chicken burger. The service was excellent and the COVID-19 anti-infection measures were all very reassuring. Advice was given on nearby places to visit and the proprietors went out of their way to ensure we got the most out of our visit. Recommended.

We have been made very welcome at the White House Hotel, the room is warm comfortable and clean. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order We had Dinner last night which was wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble Would definitely stay again

We would recommend this fab little hotel in Somerset for a short break. The staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. In the strange Covid 19 days we felt very safe with all the precautions put in place by the hotel. Breakfast was superb with a good selection of full English or continental. Evening meals also great in the restaurant. Good menu will cover most dinners. Room was well furnished with a comfortable bed, plenty of tea and coffee and shower was hot and very powerful. For a good cream tea visit Whortleberry tea rooms in Porlock Plus good gift shop in Porlock called Art and Things Porlock toll road well worth spending £3 on breathtaking views. And keep going onto Porlock hill.
