East Lodge is a great place to stay whether for business or pleasure - conveniently close to the A38 yet peacefully set in the countryside where a good nights sleep is guaranteed. Excellent breakfasts cooked on the Aga and light suppers available on request. Very handy for the National Arboretum at Alrewas and Uttoxeter racecourse. Come and stay - you wont be disappointed.

My whole stay was amazing, i cannot put into words how happy I was with my stay! Ruth was a lovely host and breakfast was amazing! The cottage is incredible, i felt like a princess in my own fairytale and wouldn't hesitate to stay time and time again! Location is perfect for St George's Park (where I was going) but nicely out of the complex itself, I just wish i'd had more time to explore! But it was a sunny day and i made the most of the terrace, working in the sunshine with the friendly cat!

We only stayed one night in the cottage in the garden, but it was clean, warm and very well presented. The location is perfect for getting to places in the Midlands. Breakfast was cooked to order and excellent and the staff member who served us was very friendly. The only difficult part is finding it..... just head for Byrkley Park Garden Centre and it is at the end of the drive before you turn right to the garden centre.

I booked over two separate weekends to stay here as I was attending a football coaching course at St. George's Park In April 2016. I was greeted by Ruth who was the most fantastic hostess during both of my stays here. She was extremely kind and really made me feel at home. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic and really set me up for the day. There were a range of cereals, toast, a full English breakfast (delicious) and tea, coffee or juice. The walk to St. George's Park took about 10-15 minutes through a beautiful field, past the duck pond, which was perfect in the morning. The whole experience was delightful and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

One word to describe it - wow. What a lovely and inviting place to stay. The owner, Ruth was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the cottage which is separate from the main house. It's beautiful and spotlessly clean. It was also very warm and cosy on a cold winters night. Breakfast the next morning was really good with plenty of coffee and Orange juice. Would recommend it and will definately be returning soon. Thanks Ruth.

I booked as I needed to be in Burton. Thankfully I read a review telling you to head for the garden centre otherwise I would have never found it!!! But it was truly worth finding!! Such lovely hosting and a beautiful room (separate building in the garden). It was a cold and wet night but it was so warm and snug! It was just lovely! The bed was huge and comfy with lovely bedding. I slept well! And the breakfast in the morning served in the main house was lush! Yes, highly recommend this place!

We had a very pleasant stay for one night on our way south and the room in the cottage was very private. Fantastic breakfast - would put many 5 star hotels to shame ! Beautiful location in open countryside ,ideal for walks or visiting picturesque local villages

Well I am lost for words!.................... Quite the best place I have EVER stayed in! The little cottage in the grounds of the main house is picture postcard I just can't put into words how fantastic it was. Ruth the host is the best she could not have made us more welcome. The breakfast was awesome! Well worth the money better than any 5 star establishment I have stayed in! Can't wait to go back!! Thank you!

Stayed for one night at the end of april couldnt fault the little cottage Ruth was lovely gave us plenty of ideas where to eat and go out the breakfast was lovely ruth brought it over to cottage for us aswell wished we could of stayed longer so much around there to see and do I would stay there again no hesitation.

This was a last minute booking due to an overlap of meetings stretching the day just a little too far so wasn't sure what to expect. I had booked quickly on-line with little research and the room was cheaper than I usually pay... What a joy when I arrived to be taken to a pretty characterful outbuilding, in the secluded garden area, by the very friendly and polite owner (Ruth). The interior was once again a delight and very clean. I would have no hesitation in booking this B&B again and recommending to others. Great breakfast too :)
