Stayed one night here while working nearby. This is am quite a charming place, old and appropriately decorated. The room was spacious, bed comfortable and lovely views. Dined in-house for dinner and breakfast and both meals met expectations and were in fact very good. The service was polite and efficient. Would happily return. But my favourite part of this stay......

A lovely weekend in an excellent setting. Beautiful grounds and a spacious relaxing room . Friendly and polite staff . Nostalgic feel and well worth a visit, interesting food and well presented. In the annex. No window and although a door not comfortable to have open on nighttime. Lots of cobwebs throughout the hotel. Only needs someone to walk around with long feather duster. Clean bathroom. Didn't find bed comfortable. Stayed for conference and food was very good. Ok for 1 night stay.

What a lovely hotel, in such beautiful grounds. My room was in a fairly new annex with French windows opening out onto a small patio area (see pic). Good size room with a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was served in the conservatory and was nice and quiet. A welcome break from the daily grind! This will be my hotel of choice...

...... however it is looking dated. We were here for a large family celebration. Everything was catered for and the evening meal was delicious. Bar prices a little on the top heavy side although our barman that evening was a star. All the rooms were very comfortable, if somewhat dated and faded in places. Breakfast was a mixed bag, unfortunately....

Visited here for afternoon tea with some friends. The grounds and hotel looked beautiful and we were warmly greeted when we arrived. When we sat down I noted that the table cloth was covered in crumbs. A nice waitor took our drinks order. I had tea which was fine although my friends complained that their bit chocolate was watery and...

The hotel is in a great spot and is a lovely building but it is in need of some repair internally. The rooms are big with tall ceilings but if you do not like spiders beware as there are many spider webs around the windows and ceilings. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The staff...

We stayed in room 117, which was a very large room that backed onto the gardens and picturesque views Only compliants and these were minor, The bar / drawing room lacked any background music in the evening. Some of the areas were looking slightly tired, but not enough to put me off recommending this hotel.

The hotel offers good value for money and while it is a little under cared for it, does provide a good place to stay overnight if you need to stay in the area. The staff are effecient and friendly enough but like the hotel itself, do no more or less than is necessary to offer an effective service. The room...

The rooms are very good spacious and with everything thing you require for your stay, the views across the country side are breathtaking especially from room 10. However the service in the breakfast room is chaotic, a simple order comes back wrong the scrambled eggs were over cooked and the general quality of the cooking was very poor however they...
