Spent a couple of nights at The Delter last week and it was brilliant. Friendly staff and I had a nice big room on the ground floor with a very comfortable bed. The best bit though was the breakfast. Just what you need to start the day. I arrived from Essex at 8am and they did me breakfast that day as an extra. Can't compliment the place enough!
The BB is reasonable priced but expecially the bathroom and the heating need some maintenance. Towels had a strange smell, but in general the room was clean, and the bed comfortable. Friendly staff. Regarding breakfast, the choice is pretty limited and quality is average (bacon was not properly cooked).
Arrived at hotel, there seemed to be a mix up with our booking, but Steve soon sorted everything out and was most helpful. Room was very clean and after a good nights sleep we went for breakfast, great choice and everything was cooked to perfection.Would use this hotel again.
Nice friendly hotel. The room was very clean, breakfast great and a reasonable price. Great value all round. Thank you.
For your pound you get value for money - needs up-dating, but clean: located on a busy main road so can get noisy - but is central to the town centre. I'd stay there again because you do enjoy a good breakfast and the host is very accommodating.
This hotel is not in the most scenic of locations but is living proof of how deceptive appearances can be. Neither was it my first choice of hotel but how pleased I am I ended up there. The bedroom was so comfortable - central heating (needed even on the first day of September),top quality mattresses and pillows, spotlessy clean room, well decorated, both TV and satellite, tea and coffee making facilities, and free wifi. A nice touch was the Radio alarm - I love to have music playing at all times. What really made it for me (coming from a Moslem country and having only dreamt about sausages and bacon for a year!) was the breakfast. No 5 star hotel could have improved upon this meal. The small dining room was inviting and friendly for a solo traveller, with Radio 2 playing in the background and a varied choice of magazines to read. I really did feel as if I was in a home and not an impersonal hotel.…
