If you are fed up with your average B&B., then this one is for you. I was here last week and found the whole experience amazing. It is a 400 year old house set in 200 acres of farmland and countryside. I stayed in the Spring Meadow Room (it overlooks the wildflower meadow) and had every creature comfort imaginable at my finger tips. It was so nice to sit by the picture window in one of the comfy armchairs, enjoying the view whilst eating my complimentary homemade lemon drizzle and enjoying a lovely cup of tea. (They have proper teapots and cups and saucers as well as mugs). The king size bed was as comfortable as my own at home - with quality pillows and duvet and a comfy, deep, quality mattress. There are en-suite bathrooms - one with a jacuzzi - but mine was a stunning modern wetroom with a powerful shower, bidet and all mod cons. I was absolutely blown away by breakfast the next morning, The dining table was a sight to behold beautifully laid with lovely china, glassware and fresh flowers. Margaret must have been up all night because I had homemade croissants, breads. sausages, Boston baked beans, raspberry and strawberry butter, strawberry and raspberry jam and so much more included in my beautifully cooked full English breakfast. But the best is yet to come. You see, Margaret is an artist and if you enjoy colour and design then this is the place for you. I won't say more, go and have a look - you won't be disappointed. For a restful stay in a lovely old farm house exuding warmth and hospitality - Royle Farm B&B delivers. Thank you Fraser and Margaret for looking after me so well!…
