It's not everyday your greeted by basil faulty at reception. Where to begin? Firstly on arrival to the hotel I wasn't sure I had the correct post code as I thought I was pulling up to an opium den. Secondly when I got in my room I had to put 20p in the meter just for the light to come...

I guess you get what you pay for. The room hadn't been cleaned properly and I would an old sandwich and a biscuit lying around. Shower didn't work properly and no breakfast. Really don't know how places like this stay in business.

I don't know about the other reviews on this page but I thought you get what you pay for and £56 for a room for three which was clean and comfy I can't really complain. Staff were friendly and location is good for cannock chase woods and Rugeley town. Stayed here just last week. Richard

I have attended weddings and different functions here in the past and was interested in holding a dinner dance here next year. The car park was full of leaves and rubbish not a good start surely somebody could pick up the rubbish. Walked into reception and found a slightly delapidated look to the whole place. The receptionists chair was falling...

This was the only hotel with vacancies for my last minute need. Very old furniture, carpet and building. Not that clean. No food was available in the hotel. This is definitely not a real three stars. The positive aspect was the good wifi connection... Please avoid.

We were travelling up to Weston, Staffs for a family birthday & booked this hotel in Rugeley to stay overnight. Why we didn't check the reviews I'll never know! So disappointed & hated that we had to pay for a nights stay at this dump! I will never be returning! Dirty, dated, dark...this list is endless! I have never ever...

I regularly stay away and everywhere differs. However, for the same price you can get, far, far better. The lady on reception was great, helpful and friendly. I wish I could say I was as impressed with the rest of the place. I've stayed at far nicer places at the same price with breakfast included and it wasn't here. No...

I stayed here as The Cedar tree WAS the premier hotel back in the day, now it is a very smelly, jaded, dirty hotel. The first room I was given was dark and dingy, at first glance it seemed ok but then I turned the light on. The Carpet had seen better days and was covered in bits, it was...
