I just dont understand some of the negative views here?? Maybe I'm on another planet but i was pleasantly suprised when i entered my room.. much better than expected for 42 quid. Bath was lovely.. water was plenty hot and lots of it. Bed comfy, room nicely decorated.. drinks are reasonably priced, everyone is friendly the food was pretty good...

Hi, I've often stayed in The Crown while visiting family over the years and for a low price it serves its purpose for somewhere to sleep. I normally book a room in the lodge annex part for £40-£45 for the night, but this time I paid £50 for the main hotel (room 1) - This is well worth the extra...

After reading all the bad reviews I was terrified but it's not that bad. I think when people are unhappy with one thing they become very picky. This hotel is dated and could do with some work. The shower wasn't great but all in all it was ok. Disappointed that I paid £67 for it, but like I said it...

Where do I start ? Room was cold with no option to turn up radiator , room was dirty, cracked tiles in bathroom, no fan/window in bathroom, smallest tv on the planet, very low water pressure although I didn't use the shower as it was so cold , wallpaper peeling off the wall. Do not stay in The Lodge !...

For an overnight stay in Stone this was about as poor as a hotel can get. Allowing guests to pay to stay in rooms of such poor hygiene, cleanliness and decorative order shows quite clearly the owners care not one jot for their paying guests. Avoid at all costs until the owner pulls their socks up and invests some money...

this is an appalling hotel. Service non existent, no one around and those that are do not care. Reception area is empty and depressing. Dirty and dust everywhere in the hotel. The part I stayed in was filthy, smelly, mouldy. The bedroom looked out directly onto a brick wall with rubbish bags in front of it with other dumped rubbish....

We stayed here as we were in Staffordshire for an 80th lunch party. Clean and tidy bedroom and Sam,, bathroom but plenty of hot water. Helpful staff even though they were busy with a wedding party. Good cooked breakfast but let down by white sliced bread and instant coffee! It suits our purposes as we just needed a bed for...

The First room we were given was unmade from last guest despite us arriving at 3:30 pm. and smelt of take away curry still in the...
