this is an appalling hotel. Service non existent, no one around and those that are do not care. Reception area is empty and depressing. Dirty and dust everywhere in the hotel. The part I stayed in was filthy, smelly, mouldy. The bedroom looked out directly onto a brick wall with rubbish bags in front of it with other dumped rubbish....

We stayed here as we were in Staffordshire for an 80th lunch party. Clean and tidy bedroom and Sam,, bathroom but plenty of hot water. Helpful staff even though they were busy with a wedding party. Good cooked breakfast but let down by white sliced bread and instant coffee! It suits our purposes as we just needed a bed for...

Stayed for 1 night. Annex was awful. The Shower was very mouldy, tje basin hot water tap didnt work. There was no way to dry towels. We asked for replacements that never turned up. The first room we were given smelt horrible. The man on reception happily changed our room which was much better. Rooms very basic n old fashioned. Had to wait a while to be seen at reception when had an issue. Most staff were friendly enough. Wouldnt stay again unfortunately.

I expected what I found so wasn't disappointed. This was a flying visit on a budget so.....!! The room was sparse, no "complimentary"shampoos ect, or bottled water to fill up the kettle so had to use the bathroom sink to make a cup of tea. Carpets were dirty, curtains tired ect ect. Having said that, my daughter and I slept...

Stayed for one night in Room 11. This is a hotel with a lot of character and history. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, and we managed to get a good nights rest after a very long journey. The hotel has scaffolding around the front due to a minor structural problem, which doesn't look very appealing and which is...

Very polite and Friendly staff. Made a late day booking, for the same night for 2 nights. Offered a room in the Lodge. Furniture has seen better days, but I was warned by the staff in advance, The new Owners are in the process of renovating, but the staff are Great. Room was clean and large enough. WiFi in the...

We only stayed for one night, but that was enough. My partner went to get the keys to the room and wasn't even directed to where the room was, let alone any other service, this should have hinted what was ahead. The room was clean, but dated, however the bed was the worst we have ever slept on. Very soft,...

We held our wedding reception in June 2016 in the ball room at this hotel and I must say the ball room is a great room for all functions ...... The manager Paul his wife Sarah and all the staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. They offered us exceptional advice, guidance and assistance. Ourselves and 20 of our...
