Visited here with my husband and 2 children after visiting family. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and the cleanliness couldn't be faulted. There were 4 mugs which I found pleasing as generally where ever you go with children there's usually only 2 mugs. The beds were a little squeaky when turning over but that's only...

Spent a night at the peel after a day on a narrow boat with friends. Wonderful accommodation, clean modern and very comfortable. Breakfast was extremely good too as were the staff. Couldn't do enough for us and then there was Christopher's restaurant downstairs, what a gem

Small establishment with friendly service. Nice breakfast. Can't argue with the small price charged. There are 19 rooms and about half as many car parking spaces. Therefore you need to use the pay and display 200 yards away which is free from 18:00 - 08:00. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

This isn't really a hotel, all accommodation is accessed from a courtyard a bit like a motel. Limited parking is available. There is a restaurant and bar "Christopher's "in a separate building however when we arrived on Saturday evening this was closed for a private function so all we had was a room. The manager in the restaurant was apologetic...

I booked a single room with breakfast on booking.com for £55 as this was cheaper than the rate on the hotel’s website. My room was in a different building from reception up a scruffy staircase in need of re-decoration. The room was at best OK, with a large dirty stain on the chair and a window that wouldn’t lock closed...

This hotel was near to being excellent for a short stay if not for the horrendous beds, very noisy creaking with the slightest move, we could even hear the bed next door. Worse nights non sleep in a long, long time. We were in room 5.

The restaurant ( bistro style) is on the roadside just on the edge of Tamworth centre. There is an outside seating area which is quite attractive. More for kerb appeal than anything though I think as not really the most attractive location, opposite the bus station( or weather) for al fresco dining ! The rooms are in Victorian buildings behind...

We stayed one night at The Peel, and had dinner and breakfast. We had a warm welcome, and although we hadn't reserved a table for dinner, a table was found and the dinner was excellent. We had a comfortable night and a splendid breakfast the next morning. Good value and a great place.

As soon as we got there with the help of a friendly local as we did get lost walking from the train station (I blame my gps on my phone), we were greeted with a warm welcome. Even though we got there slightly before the check in time we was led straight to our rooms. The rooms are around the...

Rooms are good, well maintained, nothing to rave about but warm and with everything that you need. Staff are welcoming and efficient. Food is where this hotel wins. Christopher's makes it not worth venturing any further. Good evening dinner menu. Well thought through menu with desert and port suggestions. I had a really good Halibut steak with perfectly cooked AND...
