I made a reservation for a room and arrived to check in. I located the temporary reception eventually and checked in. I was met by friendly staff at the temporary desk. I was shown to a refurbished room across the courtyard and it was nicely finished. I was just disappointed that there was no lounge bar or any food facilities...

We stayed for one night (Feb 2017). The hotel is positioned perfectly for exploring the town centre of Farnham it's shops, cafés and restaurants. It is a short walk to Farnham Malting which was our main reason for visiting. We had two rooms in the newly built block behind the main hotel an added bonus was that there was no noise...

I spent two nights here on a business trip in a courtyard room. It was comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean, with a new modern bathroom - I loved the double size shower. An ample continental breakfast was delivered to the room. There's no restaurant, but the cheerful receptionist recommended a local Italian bistro, which was great. I'd definitely stay here...

The Bishops Table is currently enjoying a major refurbishment and I stayed in one of the new rooms overlooking the courtyard at the back of the hotel. It was very well appointed, comfortable and quiet with a superb en suite bathroom and one of the best showers I have used for a very long time. Only minor criticism would be...

Very nice room and shower. I stayed in one of the new boutique ensuites in the courtyard. The quality of the decoration was fantastic, dab radio, rain shower, nice tea and biscuits. Nice continental breakfast...although a cooked option would have been better.

Thanks for your positive comments, and pleased you liked the breakfast. We will be back up to full speed in Feb 2017 with a brand new delicious cooked menu! Our teas are supplied by Char of Winchester if you would like to know more.

Stayed at the Bishops Table while doing a course at Squires Kitchen, for which I was given a discount. The service was exemplary. The room was more than comfortable and was a higher standard than expected. There is refurbishment going on, but that did not prevent it being a very comfortable stay. 5 stars from me. Will be staying again.

Firstly, a positive. The rooms were very nice... but that is it. The big issue here people is that whilst the Bishop's Table purports to being a refurbished hotel, it doesn't tell you that the actual hotel is currently closed for refurbishment. The website states, in one place, that the renovations will be completed in 2017 but it doesn't say...

We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. All your comments have been shared and discussed with the team (as we do with all reviews). We take service very seriously here, as you will see from the overwhelming number of positive reviews, but we do understand that every once in a while we may underwhelm a guest...

We spent two nights at the Bishop's Table while attending a wedding nearby. The original hotel is being completely rebuilt to include a restaurant and living/gathering rooms. Behind the main building are three brand new buildings designed to compliment the original. Rooms are a good size; king beds, nice bathrooms, good heating and air-conditioning. We were offered a continental breakfast...

Thank you for your positive and objective comments. We are now getting near to the end of the refurbishment project and the extra rooms and public areas will be opening in February. As you say, we are lucky to be in Farnham which is a lovely small town to spend time. Hopefully we will see you in the future when...
