We booked a room - yes it was cheap but cheap doesn't necessarily mean nasty. Room was above the pub accessed from street behind. Immediate impression was it was shabby and dingy. Room had chipboard furniture which looked like it had been rescued from a skip after the dog had chewed it! Had tea/coffee making facilities, a good tv. The...

Went here for Sunday roast. The place is nice looking and the staff is very helpful. The food was very nice but nothing out of the ordinary. The selection of local beers is also very good. If you go on Sunday you have to get there before 5.30pm.

I was shocked at how poor the rooms at the Foresters were on my one night stay. The food is always ao good so when I needed to book a guest room and saw a value price of £50 I thought it would be a nice stay. How wrong I was! One working plug, one broken; no soap; room full...

Having heard great things about this restaurant, we were looking forward to a good meal. The service was extremely poor (it took them nearly an hour to bring us menus). The waitress was quite rude and, despite promising to bring water, we were still waiting a further 30 minutes later. When our food arrived, the plates were cold and the...

I like the Foresters. Lovely manager, good service. However, Sunday lunch was not so good. Meat was cold, potatoes were rock hard, and my sponge pudding was microwaved and burnt inside. It wasn't a cheap lunch, and I'm afraid the only thing that salvaged it was the service. Not planning on a return visit for anything other than drinks in...

Stayed overnight for a couple of nights as was working Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Decor & furniture tired & in need of refreshing/replacing. No breakfast provided. And forget trying to get to sleep earlier. The loud music being played until midnight means you won't be able to. It or hear the TV. Wouldn't recommend for a stay. Didn't eat there...

Arrived after a 17 mile walk from central London needing a shower, a meal and a comfy bed. I did at least get the meal, but that was down the road in the Chinese! Arrived at 3 p.m. to found the whole place locked and barred, and we spent the next hour and a half wandering and wondering when we...

I was due to stay at the Foresters on business as it was near to where the head office of my business is located. Other staff had enjoyed good experiences at their bar and restaurant and the room seemed fantastic value at £50 for the location. Things started off well. The staff member I spoke to on the phone (and...

A nice pub area, with lovely food. Waitresses did not offer us a dessert menu, so after 30 mind we asked one for one, only to be told the chef had gone home. When paying bill we were charged a service fee, but no mention on the menu and no service! Rooms are cheap @ £50 a night. Showers are...

As a South African who visits Kingston frequently, I never miss the opportunity to have a pint (or two or three) of Fullers London Pride. Service is always efficient and the range of other beers on offer is very good. I have never eaten there, but I believe it is very popular with the locals. The place has been recently...
