I was in Nuneaton to visit places associated with the novelist George Eliot, for the book I'm writing on literary landscapes of the Heart of England. I wanted somewhere not too expensive, not too far from the town centre and reasonably comfortable, and the Chase scored well on all those counts. It does take about 15 minutes to walk to...

I've just returned from a one night stay at The Chase Hotel, and was surprised at how comfortable I was I was expecting a rather shabby room, with a poor shower, and a greasy breakfast, but how wrong I was!! Lovely large double room with a super king size bed, well appointed, and a spotless bathroom, and a powerful shower....

My husband and I used to eat out at the Chase several years ago and always had an enjoyable meal. The place is lovely, nice exterior and spaciously laid out dining tables inside. My husband and I dined here 3 times over the last two weeks (end of October 2016) and every time the meal was poor. The first meal...

Me and my son came straight from work at about 5.30pm. My son had the flaming burger and I ordered a medium cooked steak with surf and turf. When it came, my son didn't have the onion rings and I just had a small steak. I sent it back as it didn't have the chicken and scampi that came with...

The room was adequate but very dated a rough around the edges. We had to ask for toiletries to be filled (staff were very pleased to help) this should...

This is a Victorian building so you expect it to be a little less uniform than the chains. Having said that my room was very comfortable and everything was quite adequate for a 2 day business stay. I wouln't hesitate to use it again if in the area.

We booked this hotel as we were going to a wedding nearby and the happy couple had recommended it. When we arrived it looked a bit run down and shabby and the smell of fried onions coming from the pub next door wasn't great. Despite it being after the 2pm check in time there was no one on reception. We...

The Chase Hotel is lovely building and the staff were exceptional in their greeting and when I was checking out the next morning. The bed was very comfortable, which considering I have a bad back is a major plus for me. As this was a business trip I was thankful for the free wi-fi, which helped me keep up on...
