Had a real bad time here Staff were so bad and inexperienced Breakfast was a disaster Food etc etc ran out Will definitely not be using Holiday Inn except as a last resort would have been ok if the staff had listened but wasnt reallly interested
Understandably, I wasn’t exactly over the moon about having to come to Nuneaton. Following an enjoyable stay in a holiday inn in one of the revolting places in the Midlands (Milton Keynes), I decided that this hotel chain must be doing something right, and decided to book. My experience at this holiday inn was unexceptional, unmemorable and most of all, uncomfortable. The room was prosaic - lacking any character or originality. Use of the heating would’ve been warmly (or coldly) welcomed, as I trembled beneath my 2-ply duvet, imagining myself in a town where depression rates aren’t so high. To the hotels credit, most of the staff (not all, naming no names) were extremely pleasant. I am willing to let the unmannerly off with a slap on the wrist this time due to Nuneaton’s low quality of life, but if I ever have the misfortune of returning, heads are on the line. No one disrespects me. The breakfast knocked me sick. I was waiting for the kitchen personnel to bring more options, but I wasn’t even lucky enough to get an apple. A cold, hard piece of bread with pig meat on was all I had. Not enough to feed a 5’3 jiu-jitsu machine like myself. Would I stay here again? Hard pass.…
Just wanted to say how brilliant the staff were here. We usually stay at a different hotel when visiting family in the midlands but will definitely come back here. Check in staff really efficient and offered to fill up my water bottle which was so helpful. Night staff also brilliant to help me out when I needed makeup remover pads! Breakfast included and really enjoyed it. Ice machine helpful, plenty of towels and big sofa bed for my son in a family room.
Myself and a colleague stayed at this hotel recently. The hotel was very acceptable with regards to the room and facilities. What really stood out for me was three particular members of staff. These were Divine, Jess and Stuart. What fantastic helpful, attentative young people. I and my colleague are two people in our mid and late fifties and professional people. It is both refreshing and appreciated that these three young individuals were very professional and respectful and are a credit to this hotel and the management team they work under. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. Mark & Mick
Two night stay sharing a room with another athlete. Clean room nice shower, down side no air conditioning, but a fan was provided. Breakfast OK but nothing flash. Staff all very pleasant. Bar prices acceptable for a hotel. Ice machine also in reception which was a godsend.
Horrendous experience. Arrived early hours of the morning. Was told no space despite having a reservation (booked on ihg website) and being an Ambassador Platinum Elite member. After over an hour on the phone to customer service, no help given and had to sleep in car. IHG blamed the hotel despite being a RECURRENT issue, refused to escalate to manager, the hotel blames IHG and says they can't do anything. Meanwhile, customer left in the lurch. Zero care and commitment. Avoid at all costs.
Stopped here for one night stopover. Very friendly staff on arrival who sorted a small issue with the room very quickly. Comfortable clean room and lovely breakfast, where again the staff were great. Plenty of free parking too. Couldn't fault it.
I stayed here for 2 nights ,I found the staff to be very polite and helpful, reception area is very modern and nice I was disappointed in the room a standard double room the bed was very comfy the carpet was very worn and coming up in places ,the wall could do with a lick of paint as stains all over the walls ,the metal bin looked like it had done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson ,very good location bowling soft play area ,kfc ,mcds,Starbucks all there ,The beer delivery was there at 8am also right by dual carriageway is very noisy ,I felt the price I payed was steep for the standard of room in need of a refurbishment I stayed in room 212
Friendly guy on reception he was welcoming and friendly, the lady on with him was a little different not as welcoming or as friendly. Got to our room and was a little disappointed as we had booked a family room and the room was just big enough for the beds we had to squeeze between them no room to sit anywhere other than on the beds. There was an area with a kettle and tea making things. Beds only had one pillow each we are usually given two in other hotels. Bathroom was spacious and a decent shower. Breakfast was good. Rooms for a family need to be bigger so we can at least move around.
Difficulty - and advantage - here is the location as it is convenient to a number of places, easy parking and economical- but right next to a very busy dual carriageway-Friendly welcome and staff helpful in trying to find a quieter room but I still had to sleep with earplugs - Aircon not working so matters made worse by open window on a hot night. Everything else as expected from the IHG formula. Shower ok towels very good!
