Stayed 2 nights March 2017. We arrived 20:30-21:00 and reception was unmanned with a note saying to dial 0. The young chap who answered didn't seem to understand at first what ‘check in’ was? We stayed in the hall. The first thing we noticed was the room was very cold, but a wall heater soon warmed things up quickly. Double...

We booked a 2 night stay recently. On arrival we went to Reception which wasn't very welcoming as it was so cold, didn't understand why they hadn't lit the massive log burner? Were given the key to a room in the Stable Block which was lovely. Went to have a shower, no hot water.... called Reception who said they would...

We stayed there for two nights in the stables complex which was a lovely room although the heating was broken upstairs, on arrival we found that the shower had been running in the bathroom for some time and everywhere was wet with the condensation, we reported this to the reception, at first the staff were very sceptical about shower being...

Lovely olde worlde hotel, with bags of character and charm. Big comfy bed, coffee and tea and 24 hr reception. £6.50 taxi into Rugby town centre. Breakfast pricey though at more than £12, so we went to Brewers Fayre and had an all you can eat for £8.50.

Really nice hotel with friendly staff and top notch food. The grounds and hotel are full of character. Wish they would provide more info around hotel on the history as this interests me. Breakfast is highly recommended.

Spent a very enjoyable stay here in January. The rooms and hotel are very clean. The food is delicious and well prepared. All round good value and a beautiful, interesting building. CAr parking was easy and it is easy access to Rugby and all main roads.

We arranged afternoon tea here with some trepidation based on the reviews. On arriving, there was plenty of space to park as the hotel was not overly busy. We were not warmingly welcomed, which was a poor start, but when we eventually found a waitress to help us (having wandered for a minute around the area by the stairs indicated...

If you want to know where Basil Fawlty is lurking then perhaps you might find him at the Brownsover Hall Hotel in Rugby because every day some sort of calamity happened when we stayed there recently. A group of 11 of us went on a 3 night Christmas stay which certainly proved to be eventful. This is a description of...

Halfway between Burton and MK it was an ideal venue for a meeting with my colleague. The hotel is a very impressive Victorian Gothic mansion and clearly perfect for weddings and conferences. A variety of large rooms in a beautiful setting. The staff were lovely and the menu was very appetising. We will no doubt do this again.

Although I live in Rugby, I haven't been here for years so was looking forward to going for afternoon tea. My aunty invited me along with my 6 year old daughter. We arrived for 3pm and there was just one other table eating. The waitress was lovely and seemed quite amused by my daughter's excitement and enthusiasm at having her...
