Really convenient close to M5. Excellent secure parking, friendly staff, comfortable room. However, the real plus of staying here is the hotel’s Italian restaurant, The Bellagio. The best Minestrone soup and Vongole spaghetti l have had in years!!! Very professional and friendly staff, reasonable prices and a comfortable and pleasing environment.
This was our second stay at The hare and five hounds - we once again weren't disappointed! The location is lovely, quiet on the outskirts but near enough to what you need making it a great spot,as well as having ample private parking. The restaurant connected is amazing - it's so nice ending your day with great food and just having to walk 2 minutes back to your room! The staff are excellent,so so friendly and obliging with nothing being to much trouble. Our room this stay was fairly small but had all the essentials you could need. It was clean with a powerful shower and comfy bed...I was content! Considering there is a restaurant and bar down stairs the room is blissfully quiet. This will remain our favourite place to stay in and around Birmingham!
Stayed at The Hare and Five Hounds on New Years Eve whilst in West Bromwich visiting friends. This hotel is very clean and all staff made us feel welcome upon our arrival. The room we had overlooked the main road which during the night hardly heard any traffic. The only down side during our stay was the breakfast which was only toast cereals and ham and cheese which for £4.99 was poor. We would defiantly stay here again but would opted out of the breakfast.
Was recommended this place by a family member as very close to them. I had to find a room at short notice to attend a family funeral. I was made very welcome. Was very late due to bad weather, but still met and shown to my room with full care. I didn't have chance to use the restaurant facilities but it was set out lovely. Room was great for a single. Everything I required. So well equipped, spotless clean and comfortable. A bargain price compared to local lodge.
We stayed at this hotel with friends on an overnight stay. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and very helpful. We stayed in room 7. The room is a good size and more than adequate for a short stay, with a small wardrobe, dressing table, two bedside drawer cabinets and a small TV on the wall. The bed was large and very comfortable, the bed linen very clean. The bathroom is very small, but again adequate for a short stay. The shower was very good, with good power and plenty of hat water. The hotel advertises free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Unfortunately, the reception in room 7 was weak and insufficient to make use of the internet almost impossible. We were not disturbed at all by noise from other guests. The breakfast was continental style, with cereals, bread, cheese, ham, yoghurts and preserves. A toaster is available to make your own toast. There was also a very small selection of fresh fruit. Staff are on hand to serve fruit juice, tea and coffee. The hotel public areas and bedrooms could do with some 'freshening up'. New carpets and some repainting would bring this hotel from good to excellent. A little tightening up of the cleaning would also enhance the hotel. The hotel is fairly secure, with key access to the hotel and separate key access to the bedroom areas. The car park is more than adequate. An overnight stay with breakfast was very reasonably priced.…
