Stayed here overnight as we were running Brighton marathon next day. Booked online a year ago. Requested a quiet room as had previous issues with loud guests in previous hotels before a big race (sleep is definitely needed) Was pleased on arrival receptionist pointed out we had been allocated one of the quietest of the 52 rooms. We did not...

Thank you for your feedback following your visit over Marathon weekend . I am glad you had a restful and enjoyable stay , pity you left before breakfast as we opened at 630 and served porridge to about 30 people , something we always do marathon weekend along with high carb pasta dinner the night prior We are currently starting...

Stayed here a few months ago, I would call this a workmans hotel as it was full of workmen in the bar in work clothes. I thought the rooms and the bar/lounge area in need of a good refurb, would not stay there again.

Thank you for the comments and thoughts We do indeed have a mixture of guests staying including contractors and tradesmen and in most cases they will change once they arrive , keen to get out of their work clothes or suits . In this case I suspect they were having a quick drink to quench their thirst before going to...

A group of us stayed here for one night. The first impression is that you are iff the beaten track as you go down a ling drive to the hotel. Then there is plenty of parking space clase to the hotel. No lugging of suitcases from a distant car park. The welcone was odd as there was no one on...

This is Great little hotel and a bargain at the price I paid. The hotel offered good amenities ie bar and separate restaurant. I had a ground floor room, the room was good size room and very clean. Friendly staff who were happy to help. Good food, i just had the bar menu, the burger was a killer, and well...

We booked adjoining rooms for a family party and have to say was delighted with the accomodation. Rooms much bigger than "normal" family rooms and the benefit of two bathrooms was a real plus. Service at reception was lovely and breakfast really good. Would come back for sure.

We have used this hotel for our wedding venue. Wedding preparation are stressful but the hotel and the team made the day and evening as painless as possible. They have accommodated all or request and changes ( many of them) and made it truly suited to our needs . The hotel location is ideal for commutes from Gatwick / london...

The hotel is in a lovely setting in the Sussex countryside with close access to the A23. We went for afternoon tea which was a gift package. The food quality was excellent with freshly made delicious sandwiches, warm scones and cakes. Very friendly staff. The hotel is a little dated but the excellent food and friendly staff more than made...

We had booked the Hickstead due to its close proximity to the Bolney Estate vineyard which we were visiting for a pre-booked tour. Apart from a ridiculously expensive taxi from the vineyard to the hotel, our weekend stay was excellent and such good value for money. Our stay included a 3 course dinner with wine, bed and breakfast for £109...

My husband and I were given a Red Letter Day voucher for Afternoon Tea as an anniversary present and chose Hickstead as the venue as it was the nearest place to our home.
