Stayed overnight on my way to an event elsewhere. Was immediately very impressed with the location, Lindfield is a quintessential English village. Free parking right behind the inn. Pleasant beer garden. Quirky and charming bar and restaurant. My room was rather outdated and in need of a refurb, but ultimately very cheap considering the area and quality of the other...

This is a quirky little pub in the village. You get the choice of a set menu or a la carte. The set menu was really good with a selection of two or three courses. I had a mushroom filled with goats cheese, chicken curry and chocolate cheesecake. It is a good atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. The food...

The staff is charming, the room very clean, the breakfast amazing. Also the happy hour beer in the big back garden with the setting sun was a moment to be remembered. Another important detail : I was silly enough to forget my wallet in one of the bedroom drawers when I left. The next day I came back to fetch...

We visited the restaurant with a family member for lunch last week and I must say we were very impressed at how delicious the food was. The staff were very polite and professional, they found us a very nice table to sit at. The Hotel is very old and quirky and has very interesting features such as a copper canopy...

A group of 7 of us stayed here for the Brighton Marathon. Before the trip I had phoned them to ask a couple if questions and the staff were very helpful and friendly. From our arrival the staff were fantastic. So polite and friendly and really helpful. The rooms were basic but that was fine. They were clean and the...

A one night stay. Lovely staff but the room was very poor. One window had no curtains, there was dust and cobwebs on many surfaces, no curtain in the bathroom, virtually no water pressure. Breakfast was nearly very good but some badly overlooked poached eggs should never have the kitchen. Could be a delightful place to stay in a lovely...

Where to begin…. We booked a night at the Bent Arms to stay after spending the evening on the nearby Bluebell Railway’s “Golden Arrow” Pullman train (excellent – see separate report). All we wanted was a room to get washed and dressed in our fineries for the evening and a comfortable bed for the night on our return. We were...

The best steak in the World, simply perfection. the pub had a great atmosphere with really good staff, very happy place Room was functional and ok for a 1 night stop on business, wouldn't take a partner for a romantic evening though. Breakfast was good.

Enjoyed a Monday evening meal with friends, two who are Lindfield residents and hadn't been to eat at pub before,, very busy but service excellent, good food, enormous portions and excellent value £11.50 for 2 courses from set menu, although not an extensive choice quality food. Bar menu available too with all the usual fare. Will definitely be visiting again.
